@NxMarko @HeroWiebe @ThatHartleyKat @Skorlex_ Strictly looking at the numbers, vs full diamond armor, diamond axes with +25% crits require 8 hits (8,0 seconds) to deal 20+ damage, while diamond swords at +50% crits also require 8 hits but need nearly double duration (7,7*2 seconds)

@NxMarko @HeroWiebe @ThatHartleyKat @Skorlex_ The diff is 8.75 (axe+25%) vs 9 (sword+50%) dmg per hit before armor reduction. This does not, obviously, consider reach advantage. I could compensate by giving axes more damage, or by making all crits +25%. +50% just feels too much right now

@Chunkycheese12 @SurpriseTG @RynoJellies @PtFlaccus @Lonsdale1086 No I'm not. I don't think @SupriseTG represents the majority of players, but I still think it's worth thinking of what it implies. Like, once you've conquered the game, I can see that carrying around 64 golden carrots all the time seems a little bit silly.

@SurpriseTG @Chunkycheese12 @RynoJellies @PtFlaccus @Lonsdale1086 @SupriseTg Yes it's a different style of playing. Personally I feel Mending is broken, but I'm a kind of mid-core type of player that don't mind making a new pickaxe every once in a while.

If you're familiar with StarCraft, half of the balance is in game design, and the other half is in the map design. Blizzard gets a lot of community help with the maps.
