[2020] Companion App Update 2.9.2 is Live - Patch Notes inside

Hey everyone! Update 2.9.2 is now live on Google Play and the iOS App Store. We have updates for the Call of Duty League Championship Weekend. Enjoy CDL in the Companion App on Aug 29th and 30th to earn new rewards, an exclusive CDL Knife Blueprint, and a chance at randomized drops. We also made improvements to Gifting and the Store. New

  • COD League Championship Weekend - Enjoy CDL to earn new rewards, an exclusive CDL Knife Blueprint, and a chance at randomized drops.

Updates

  • Made it more clear that users need to be Activision Friends for 7 days before being able to gift.
  • Option to gift Battle Pass removed if you don’t already own the pass.
  • Added messaging if a user has no Activision Friends to help users understand how to add friends.

Fixes

  • Store items with missing images or names have been updated.
  • Match History Loadouts now displays the image for The Firewall blueprint.
  • Combat Record Barracks now shows the FiNN LMG.
  • Updated localizations.

Battle Pass gifting will not appear if you yourself do not have the Battle Pass yet.

It should be available now. No download needed. You may need to clear your apps cache though to see the latest images and content. Please feel free to reach out if you're still experiencing any issues.

Next week we'll ship an update that will allow users to see the Season One Battle Pass for BOCW in the Companion App. Gifting & purchase of the pass will come at a later date.
