[2019] Capture Headquarters Challenge: play to lose?

I am on the last challenge for the “Infiltrator” mission and it says that I need to “Capture 20 Headquarters in Headquarters Mode”. Sounds pretty easy but I do not get credit for a capture unless the enemy team has already captured it and i disable it.

Is this intentional? If so, I’m playing to lose so that the enemy can capture the headquarters.

Anyone else done this challenge with the same results?
