| 316s | northern California cosplayer um I've |
| 318s | been cosplaying Monster Hunter for over |
| 320s | 10 years and I have 23 armors that I've |
| 325s | made over that time currently working on |
| 327s | eedle Armor debuting this weekend at |
| 331s | thanks for having me I'm Kath you guys |

| 349s | player for over 10 years and I'm a big |
| 352s | Die Hard fan of the game Monster Hunter |
| 355s | Super Fan many of you know me for my |
| 358s | giant collection of Monster Hunter |

| 361s | Bia well we're so glad to have all three |
| 363s | of you here um obviously you know huge |
| 366s | history with the series have been huge |
| 368s | fans obviously you know lots of Cosplay |
| 370s | and collecting Kath I mean you're one of |
| 372s | the community MVPs I would say so I've |
| 375s | been doing this for what 12 maybe 14 |
| 377s | years now just the community stuff you |
| 380s | know playing the game for 20 |
| 382s | years yeah and you're all part of the |
| 384s | Capcom creators program so again we're |
| 385s | super happy to have you um so why we go |
| 387s | ahead and get into it we'll we'll watch |
| 389s | a little bit of the anim may we you know |
| 391s | we're going to have some free commentary |
| 392s | if you want to watch it without our |
| 393s | commentary it is up on YouTube so if you |
| 395s | think that we're too loud or annoying um |
| 398s | that's up to you you can go ahead and |

| 410s | thany all right so have you guys I'm |
| 412s | guessing everybody here has already seen |
| 414s | these I've watched it before but it has |
| 416s | been a long time I haven't actually seen |
| 419s | the whole thing I've only seen so they |
| 421s | have these gifts of the anime so I've |
| 424s | mostly seen the anime in gifts oh okay |
| 426s | yeah you seen a while back when it first |
| 430s | released I was watching it back to back |
| 434s | nonstop I would say it's a it's a |
| 436s | kid-friendly show but there's some like |
| 438s | kind of messed up stuff that |
| 440s | happens I mean I mean this thing for |
| 443s | example I think is |
| 447s | uh baby loot still got his |
| 452s | hat I definitely think the opening is |
| 454s | very catchy though super |
| 458s | catchy um one thing I did forget to |
| 460s | mention is that we will be giving away |
| 462s | some DLC codes for uh monster hunter |
| 465s | Stories 2 DLC on Steam so uh David uh |
| 469s | one of our commune managers he's off |
| 471s | screen he will be dropping those but |
| 472s | also we might have some uh some on |
| 474s | screen during the uh the actual stream |
| 476s | itself so yeah you got to watch out |
| 478s | we're going to surprise you with it |
| 481s | how that donut donut and combined with |
| 484s | antidote what does it |
| 488s | make now Kath I know you're a you're a |
| 491s | big fan of na' he is my favorite |
| 493s | absolutely love |
| 495s | him this anime just really shows how |
| 499s | animated he is and just I love the gifts |
| 502s | of him those are some of my favorite |
| 504s | reaction gifts to use his Expressions |
| 506s | whether it's stories or stories to like |
| 508s | n expressions are just comedy gold oh I |
| 511s | agree you ever noticed too his cans have |
| 514s | like little toe beans mhm I just want to |
| 517s | like right it's actually a lot of |
| 520s | monsters that have little toe BS too |
| 522s | I've also noticed that Kath you're very |
| 525s | correct none none on this none on this |
| 528s | an ogre Unfortunately today no I think |
| 531s | this is a new release too this is yeah |
| 533s | this is one of the newer |
| 535s | ones uh yeah the this what the newer |
| 538s | ones have the super deformed eyes |
| 540s | uh the previous model had like a more |
| 543s | one: one kind of ratio this is more like |
| 545s | big head small body very cute very TV so |
| 549s | we love a zappy boy yeah a couple of our |
| 552s | team members just came back Froman and |
| 554s | got this back good for the team but Kino |
| 556s | I know you were in Japan touring all |
| 558s | things Monster Hunter you tell us about |
| 560s | that yeah so I did everything Monster |
| 563s | Hunter possible I went to the cap or the |
| 567s | Monster Hunter bar and that was an |
| 568s | amazing experience I would recommend |
| 571s | everyone going there because it really |
| 572s | immerses you into a Guild Hall feeling |
| 575s | especially with food wonderful I also |
| 578s | hit up the new location in wasaka which |
| 581s | is more homely but it felt like you in |
| 582s | Elgato and that was super immersive |
| 584s | there too I did The celana Canteen at |
| 587s | Universal Japan also wonderful and |
| 590s | immers like everything was so immersive |
| 592s | but I could go on and on about the food |
| 594s | don't get me wrong it actually felt like |
| 596s | you were in that world though when you |
| 597s | were at those locations and they mode |
| 600s | was cool cuz certain F had AR mode like |
| 602s | the Volcan oh yeah I saw that one he did |
| 605s | like it made you the mode it was super |
| 608s | cool they also had like the armors and |
| 610s | like the weapons too like in the cafe |
| 613s | right oh yes they did yeah so the |
| 615s | coolest one I thought on display was |
| 618s | definitely the Sai J long sword cap |
| 621s | inaka yeah yeah that was cool and then |
| 624s | the Capcom bar in iabuk has a 20th |
| 627s | anniversary thing going on a limited |
| 629s | thing too they just rotated the menu for |
| 631s | like new themed food like Pokey Village |
| 634s | and I think it was UK the there is |
| 638s | like I'm a foodie so everything we was |
| 641s | just delicious and it's all like monster |
| 643s | H themed too right correct it's cute I |
| 645s | love it do they still have the pelico at |
| 648s | the bar in Tokyo uh yes they do sitting |
| 652s | you enter yeah right there I have a |
| 654s | selfie with that guy and then I need to |
| 656s | go sometime I really do there's a gorm |
| 659s | magalo armor and a valx armor at the new |
| 662s | location too and the nergy wall and you |
| 665s | can pose with the old school Sak oh |
| 666s | that's so cool oh yeah I saw your |
| 668s | picture of that |
| 673s | yeah yeah so in in the anime |
| 677s | um instead of you know in the game you |
| 679s | meet naviu a little bit later right |
| 681s | after a little bit of intro but you know |
| 682s | we jump into the anime they're already |
| 684s | they're already friends so they're |
| 685s | already friends although maybe like |
| 687s | they're kind of like enemies too they |
| 689s | like they do like to |
| 693s | pick been a while since we came oh my |

| 697s | yeah the monsters in the anime are |
| 699s | really yeah they're they're kind of like |
| 701s | 3D yeah it's a different style it is |
| 703s | makes them stand out yeah it's it's they |

| 939s | and stories it's like I hope it doesn't |
| 942s | wake up and then they wake up and start |
| 944s | chasing you and you're running away with |
| 946s | it and you're like please don't drop it |

| 954s | wrong something we should call out is |
| 957s | that monster huner stories is actually |
| 959s | releasing on June 14th um first time on |
| 963s | Nintendo switch uh PS4 and you can play |
| 966s | it on PS5 um with backwards |
| 968s | compatibility and PC um and then we're |
| 971s | also releasing monst Hunter Stories 2 on |
| 973s | PS4 for the first time and same deal |
| 975s | with the backward comp compatibility but |
| 977s | wanted to ask you all um have you played |
| 979s | the first game before oh yeah definitely |
| 983s | have when I first heard about it I was |
| 985s | like I need this you know I've always |
| 987s | wanted to see what we could do doing |
| 989s | that kind of game play seeing you know |
| 993s | making friends with the monsters and |
| 996s | training them instead of killing them or |
| 999s | capturing them in some cases yeah this |
| 1002s | um genre definitely spoke to me as like |
| 1005s | a monster befriending Enthusiast so like |
| 1009s | whenever you're playing Monster Hunter |
| 1011s | especially world did this really well |
| 1012s | where they displayed the monsters that |
| 1014s | you captured oh right that like or does |
| 1020s | it smell a lot like like almost they're |
| 1022s | almost my Mony but this you actually get |
| 1024s | to like befriend them and you get to |
| 1027s | hatch them uh it's really cute I |
| 1030s | remember I saved a lot of my cuz you get |
| 1032s | to take selfies with them too in the |
| 1033s | game so I saved a lot of my selfies of |
| 1035s | me and my |
| 1036s | monsties it's very cute those are good |
| 1039s | times I liked where they hat you saw |
| 1042s | baby forms of then never before seen |
| 1044s | you're like oh you I've never seen them |
| 1046s | so small and it was just some take on |
| 1050s | moner instead of slaying you're |
| 1051s | friending them overall I like the combat |
| 1055s | system too oh yeah it was really |
| 1058s | interesting to see monster hunter in |
| 1059s | that kind of genre mhm turn based yeah |
| 1062s | oh oh |
| 1065s | Aros myy there is his |

| 1071s | expression I like how the subtitles |
| 1073s | don't quite match and they're actually |
| 1076s | they use a Japanese name there oh yeah |

| 1082s | one this anime was produced but like I |
| 1084s | remember back when we had portable third |
| 1086s | and it's like wait what do we call |

| 1093s | yeah I love our they so underrated just |
| 1096s | wants to eat honey I like how he gets |

| 1102s | your I like breaking his his arms cuz |

| 1110s | ohing up there I'm jumping me that's a |
| 1116s | b they have good lung capacity in this |
| 1121s | universe are they are they playing the |

| 1133s | closer the Japanese yeah yeah it's a |
| 1135s | Japanese name I think for All The |

| 1140s | yeah it's a quick break with the uh the |
| 1142s | trailers playing now so um you guys |
| 1146s | planing to go back to it when it |
| 1149s | releases and uh you know the graphics |
| 1152s | have been enhanced we got full voice |
| 1153s | acting for all of the uh characters now |
| 1156s | um but I've been going through it and |
| 1157s | I'm like oh wow I didn't realize there |
| 1158s | was like that many lines and everything |
| 1159s | is voiced now which is cool yeah I love |
| 1162s | seeing all the artbook stuff and then |
| 1165s | the updates we didn't get when it first |
| 1167s | released why does Rajan look so cute in |
| 1170s | this part oh |
| 1177s | my I love their special attacks like |
| 1180s | that's really my favorite the uh the |
| 1183s | kinship skills are pretty funny like |
| 1184s | they can get super wacky bados oh yeah |
| 1188s | the best one no Yan cut Yan had |
| 1192s | yeah doofy love it pink chicken yeah |
| 1195s | it's super funny when you just like do |
| 1197s | some crazy kinship skill and it's just |
| 1200s | like on a little tiny like oh yeah |
| 1203s | monster I love these little transitions |
| 1206s | oh yeah those |
| 1211s | are is it going to call Double |
| 1220s | show it is crazy like watching the anime |
| 1223s | and then playing the game how they're |
| 1225s | kind of like different takes on the same |
| 1226s | story yeah um whereas like this has like |
| 1229s | a little bit more meat to the the start |
| 1231s | of the story and like some the |
| 1232s | characters already know each other |
| 1233s | whereas um like the game is like there's |
| 1237s | there's still a lot of story but it's |
| 1238s | like kind of designed to get you more |
| 1239s | into like the action right away |
| 1249s | exploring where are that a pretty far |
| 1253s | dive so you mean on top of everything |
| 1255s | we're even deeper into the Forbidden |
| 1257s | land now and then if if you've only |
| 1259s | played two um it's interesting how the |
| 1264s | characters some of the characters do |
| 1265s | come back the first game so you kind of |
| 1267s | see them in like and their character Arc |
| 1269s | and then how they grow in the second |
| 1271s | game how younger they are |
| 1274s | here I think at the time too they had |
| 1277s | like |
| 1277s | amiibos it was really cool to like see |
| 1280s | them in the game but then also have |
| 1282s | their little figures Co yeah I don't |
| 1285s | think those ones came out over here they |

| 1289s | worth a pretty Zen now for the original |
| 1291s | one yes it's a bad Omen indeed you just |

| 1416s | data for Stories |
| 1418s | 2 you get an outfit based on Stories 2 |
| 1422s | in stories one for um for navu and |
| 1425s | everyone was just like did he break the |
| 1427s | timeline like what's going on |
| 1429s | here he probably rode into through like |

| 1435s | youron I just want them to ride monsters |

| 1450s | be I know they sold the actual kinship |
| 1454s | stones in Japan and I wish I would have |
| 1456s | bought one and itated with this stuff |

| 1467s | actually like did the whole effect |

| 1730s | completely agree I was sick about there |
| 1733s | yeah mine is an offshoot unfortunately |

| 1744s | favorite I love that we went deep with |
| 1746s | our Wan love you can have your normal |
| 1748s | and your pink and your gold dread Queen |

| 1757s | knowledge of FR care it was this group |
| 1760s | so yeah we played that for a good while |
| 1763s | huh a very long time I acquired my |
| 1765s | knowledge through osmosis on the |
| 1766s | internet yes yes |
| 1769s | I mean that's kind of where the whole |
| 1773s | take a monster egg and hatch it as your |
| 1774s | own or capture it actually was from it |
| 1778s | started in dose Monster Hunter 2 and |
| 1780s | then when Frontier was made kind of |
| 1783s | seemed like kind of use the code from |
| 1785s | Monster Hunter 2 a little bit you know |
| 1787s | they kept it in there and so we had our |
| 1789s | own little you know Dio Hermitage and |
| 1793s | you know eventually rajang we how did it |
| 1796s | go we pitted them against each other |
| 1798s | while also being able to hunt them yeah |
| 1801s | and it was kind of whichever monster |
| 1803s | died first and it was also you as a |
| 1805s | hunter also fought the other Hunter and |
| 1807s | whoever was knocked out first loses so |
| 1809s | it's like there's PVP in Frontier yes wa |
| 1813s | it wasn't used a whole lot but it was |
| 1815s | still a good idea it was a good attempt |
| 1818s | and I like how it kind of evolved into |
| 1821s | this yeah oh look how |
| 1825s | cute first episode already |
| 1828s | to goodness Rider waa what's that a |
