7s | Greetings, Hunters! Welcome to our Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Demo overview! |
---|---|
13s | In this video, we'll be showing you the bespoke hunts you can play |
16s | in both single and multiplayer modes of the Sunbreak Demo, |
19s | available now on PC and Nintendo Switch. |
22s | We'll also be taking you through the three tutorial quests, |
25s | so whether you're new to Monster Hunter, or a more experienced player |
28s | who wants to see what Sunbreak has in store, |
30s | this demo has something for everyone! |
34s | Once you've chosen to play in single or multiplayer, you'll be greeted with this screen. |
39s | As you can see, there's four quests and three tutorials to choose from. |
44s | All the hunts in Monster Hunter Rise and Sunbreak dynamically scale with the number of players, |
48s | so you won't be at a disadvantage when you're playing on your own |
51s | and you'll have a suitable challenge when you're playing with friends! |
54s | If you're a new player, the most important quest is going to be the basic training quest, |
58s | where Master Utsushi will take you through the hunting basics, including movement, hunting actions and Wirebugs! |
64s | In the second tutorial, you'll be shown how to utilize the Wyvern Riding mechanic, |
68s | allowing you to not only briefly take control of a monster, |
71s | but to pit them against nearby monsters in a deadly clash of fangs and claws |
76s | The third tutorial introduces two new mechanics: the Switch Skill Swap and the Swap Evade. |
83s | From set-up to execution, Master Utsushi will take you through everything you need to know. |
88s | We suggest even experienced Hunters also try this tutorial to check out these new moves! |
93s | Now, on to the hunt! |
95s | The Sunbreak demo offers a wide range of challenges against different monsters. |
99s | Be warned: even seemingly familiar monsters have gained |
103s | some new moves and tricks in Master Rank, so be ready, Hunters! |
107s | First up, we have the Great Izuchi, a ferocious Bird Wyvern that hunts in a pack. |
111s | This hunt is ideal for trying out any of the 14 weapon types available in the demo, |
116s | as well as trying out the new Switch Skill Swap and Silkbind moves |
120s | Keep a look out for some of the new endemic life too including the extremely useful Marionette Spider, |
125s | which can be used to pull monsters into terrain for a potential knockdown. |
130s | Next up, in the intermediate hunt, you'll face the imposing Tetranadon and its inflatable belly |
136s | Much larger than a Great Izuchi, this is a fantastic way to experience fighting a larger monster |
141s | Be warned, though: Tetranadon doesn't take kindly to intruders, |
145s | and is ready to punish careless Hunters with an array of powerful strikes, slams and charges. |
151s | Get ready for an electrifying experience in the expert hunt |
155s | as you clash with the returning monster, Astalos. |
158s | Astalos is a hyper-aggressive monster that wields thunder |
162s | to dish out powerful area-of-effect attacks that cause Thunderblight, |
165s | which increases your chance of being stunned by an attack, |
168s | leaving you wide open for a follow-up. |
171s | Having successfully hunted either Tetranadon or Astalos, |
175s | you'll be able to take on the embodiment of darkness itself, Malzeno |
179s | This fight will give you a taste of what kind of monster it is. |
183s | Taking it down won't be easy, but we hope you try it out! |
187s | And with that, we wrap up our overview of the new Sunbreak demo. |
192s | We hope you had a great time trying out the new hunting actions and taking on the Master Rank quests. |
198s | We'll see you at Elgado Outpost when Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak launches |
202s | on Nintendo Switch and PC on June 30, 2022. |
