I'm wondering if there are any tips or tricks to blocking this style of attack. I feel like either you call the bluff and get nailed by the first attack, or you take a chance on the first one and get nailed by the second one. There's gotta be something I'm missing. (I know I suck, I'm looking for advice, not for people telling me to git gud fgt, thanks!)

confidence/composure, don't panic when people get near you etc.

I would say go into a FL match and just go really late on the parries to practice, doesn't matter if you eat a few hits. Just get comfortable with reading the anims and keeping your cool. Also, another thing you can do is try going for a chamber on the initial attack and FTP (feint to parry) out of it if they morph, but that will be very stamina-intensive.

That being said optimal play isn't always about parrying as late as possible, if you do that you're open to accels and such, but it's nice to learn how late you can go on your parries before it gets overly risky.
