I’ve just seen a guy doing a perfect interpretation of a bartender, and I seriously wanna know if the dev team expected emoting to become such an essential part of the game.

Also did they KNOW what they were doing? I mean in terms of. Did they expect people to be so skilled in using emotes?

I can only speak for myself: but I come back to the game almost always because I need my weekly dose of emote f*ckery. I mean I’m way to lazy to learn it myself but It’s just hilarious what some people pull off with these.

Mordhau is the only game I can turn on and actually laugh out loud. I’m literally sitting on my desk sometimes receiving worried looks by my girlfriend when I play this game, because I’m literally looking at a screen while pissing my pants.

We definitely had an idea that emotes and lute etc would be popular - Mordhau's about player freedom/expression, from the way you look, how you fight, etc. and emotes are a natural extension of that :)

I don't think we realized that some people would enjoy emotes more than the combat, but it's great that people can find so much enjoyment in them!
