Hey all, sorry for the late one!

Like always, we'd love to hear feedback on the game, and we're always looking for ways to improve. Please let us know any feedback, comments, concerns, etc. that you have; we'll absolutely take them into consideration. Anyways, please be civil and keep things polite down below. Thanks!

As for our meeting this week, no bullet points this time - we actually had a pretty short meeting overall. Everyone's got their heads down, focusing on final touches before we release. We're eyeing a release in the coming weeks (can't say when exactly), and as of today we've finished up all map changes and the addition of our new map, Dungeon, as well as cosmetic integration, localization updates, etc.

We're more or less 'done' with the update, but we have one known bug with faces we're hammering out, as well as lighting builds, and some text overflowing UI boxes in certain languages. Fixing the face issue will require some small tweaking, but the rest should be pretty trivial to fix in the coming few days. Once all that is sorted, we'll be doing a last-minute pass on testing the release build, and we should have the update out!

Like I said above, we can't say exactly when the release will be - bugs can always rear their heads, and some might take a bit longer than expected, etc. - but we feel like we're on the right track. Thanks for your patience, and we're excited to let y'all get your hands on patch 26 soon!

Thanks for reading - if you'd like to take a look at our previous threads, you can find those here:

it shouldn't be a priority but could you somehow updtate the medbag, its hasn't changed since the game release and i thought it could be a good idea for more support oriented playstyles, maybe instead of droping the bag you could heal someone directly idk

I think perhaps having an alternate use could work well, but stationary meds are nice as well. It's a good idea - I'll be sure to bring it up to the team today!

Please add a voice line telling people to be quiet for a second. There’s a surprising lack of stealth options for a war game.

It's a bit too late to add new lines to older characters, unfortunately. As of now we plan on keeping things standardized. :(

Silence is distasteful. Engage with your community more! I see you've responded to like 3 posts total and you most certainly are cherry picking which to respond to. Why are you doing this? Do you think people aren't realizing this?

Acknowledge the behavior of some of your...coworkers, too. I think it's getting a little much that we have toxic in-game admins that flame people and game devs that nerf based on their own duel losses. If nothing else mature devs/admins would be a plus.

The longer each of you guys stay silent on these topics the more it looks like you support their actions. Ignore this all you want but the truth is that it directly connects to why your player base has tanked so much and why other combat games like Renown are probably going to take most of your player base. There's no way you guys don't realize this.

Hey! Fair question, hopefully this answers a bit of it. Transparency is always nice, so I understand where you're coming from.

A lot of it is that I'm managing all social media platforms, discord, contact email, etc. and this is a part-time job for me. I'll respond to things in which I'm certain on the answers to, but for every post that I respond to, there's about 5 or 10 that get screencapped and shared with the development team for them to take a look at.

A lot of the posts I don't respond to are either things where I have repeatedly answered the question for the past two years, or things that I would have to get confirmation on from the team before answering. With time zones (I'm 8 hours behind) and these decisions being a team effort from the devs, me calling a meeting when questions get asked (which are good questions btw) isn't really feasible. I'm not going to guess whether or not something is a possibility or not unless I have a very good idea on the subject matter, so most of the time it's me screencapping and bringing it up every two weeks in our regularly scheduled meetings.

I can't do anything about other developers, I'm not the boss.

As for mods - I have gotten dozens of reports regarding mods, but I have only gotten any evidence like once or twice, which led to removal or a major warning for those mods. I can't manage any issues without actually having something to go off of, so please send me evidence if you get any.

This isn't related to the update bit an observation. I feel like Mordhau doesn't get patch updates frequently and they only come when a major update is coming. I wouldn't be opposed to having a patch to fix major game issues come out with no content.

That's because we can't hotfix once we've committed to starting full development on the next build. We'd have to remove all ongoing changes to do a no-content patch, which would slow down development. Then, those changes we made would then need to be patched for the upcoming version of the game.

We tried fixing this issue a while back, but unfortunately it's much easier said than done, especially with the game being released.

Hi Jax, I know you guys at Triternion think I'm wrong about this but I'm just going to say it one more time... I think the merge of Invasion and Frontline is driving players away and should be reversed. It has fundamentally changed the way people can play the game, and not for the better.

Despite a free weekend, 50% off sale, and reaching a peak of 6900 players this month (highest peak since the last 50% off sale back in May 2021), the average player count for the last 30 days is still less than it was before the patch that merged these game modes.

You told us that the Chivalry 2 Steam release is the real culprit for that, but Chivalry 2 has been hemorrhaging players on Steam since it's release in June; going from almost 10k average players to 1537 in the last 30 days; even less than Mordhau. If Mordhau players left purely for Chivalry 2, why haven't they come back now that they've stopped playing it?

I know you're probably waiting to find out if your planned changes to the end-game voting system fixes this problem, but I really don't think it will. It's just going to favour the Invasion majority (which you revealed to be a 60/40 split) and alienate the Frontline minority, which is still a sizeable chunk of players who will not be able to play the game in the way they've become used to.

I know you're sick of hearing from me, so you'll be please to know that this will be the last time I bring this up. I'm tired, boss.

I don't like it either. I'll bring it up again to the team.

Having a lot of packet loss issues atm, any word on whether there's gonna be a fix for that? I don't think it's from my end

Report the server if you see it happening to everyone. Our server guy looks at the server logs and figures out what the issue is, usually it just requires a restart. Can't do all too much else without a server lag report. :)

Hey Jax! I just noticed that the tight hood is restricted away from peasants, but not the mail skullcap. The tight hood is like a cartoonish medieval peasant's most iconic headware and the mail skullcap is for warriors. Fix? :D

Hmm, we can look at this. Thanks for the heads-up!

Not yet, we're still testing it and getting things up and running. Once we know when we'll be releasing, we'll be sure to put out an announcement and probably a super dope trailer that we haven't been working on for the past few months ;)

Can you guys bring back classic horde as an option? Maybe just a selection between defending the king and kingless mode? Keep the skill tree tho.

We won't be supporting old horde. Doing so would require us to ensure compatibility and continuing support for it. We'd rather use our limited development resources on new stuff - it's unfortunate, but we can't do everything.

As someone who plays the occasional Horde mode, unless there are going to be more tweaks this update, I really think the maps need some difficulty marking to give some expectations for those who don't know that difficulty swings wildly from map to map. Maybe just a star rating next to the name. This isn't thoroughly researched, but something like this seems right to me.

✭✰✰✰ Camp Grad Mountain Peak Castello

✭✭✰✰ Noria Feitoria Taiga

✭✭✭✰ The Pit Arid

✭✭✭✭ Crossroads

EDIT: Hell, you guys have to have win/loss rates. Just apply those yourself.

Yeah, we could potentially look into that. Thanks for the feedback!
