We are aware of the "sound of doom" problem and are doing everything we can to resolve the issue. In the meantime, you should consider lowering the Master Volume from the Game Options or muting the game altogether.

Please be aware that these sudden volume increases may damage your hearing, so you might want to refrain from playing the game for a short while. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience.

Edit: If you are experiencing this issue while playing the game through Steam, please try deleting all files in the "SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Sounds" folder and then validate your game files by right-clicking the game in your Steam Library and selecting "Properties... > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files..." If the issue persists after this it would help us greatly if you could reach out to us here and let us know.

Originally posted by GIJoe597: For the sake of clarity, is this a singleplayer issue, multiplayer, or both?

I have never experienced it in singleplayer but if it happens there I do not want to damage my hearing.

My apologies, this issue has been reported in multiplayer only so far.
