157s crazy magic they have around here called
159s azot I haven't met a soul yet who can
162s describe azot in any way that makes a
165s lick of sense to me but it sure seems
167s like it's this stuff that makes a tum
169s the way it is Legends say aat was either
173s created or discovered by the Ancients
176s who built the earlier civilizations here
179s and these ancients were the ones who
181s invited folks to come to the island and
183s then shared the secrets of Azo with them
186s now these same Legends say the Ancients
188s were benevolent almost Godlike beings
191s but I'm not so sure that's the way it
193s was whatever these ancients were about
196s those early civilizations are nothing
198s but ruins now and no one seems to be
200s around to tell us what happened the aat
203s however well that's still
208s here and because of that
210s if you're on this island you can't die
215s or well you can but you won't stay dead
218s aot has a power that brings anything
221s living back to life once it falls try
224s chopping down a tree why don't you give
226s it a bit and you'll see that same exact
228s tree right back as it was and ready for

245s some downsides to dying over and over

261s it works but you can use it to travel

266s there's some folks seem to be touched if
269s you ask me well they can even use aoth
272s to fight putting some oomph behind their
275s attacks or a straight up magic if you'd
277s have told me something like that existed

284s myself now and I can tell you it's as

291s going to need that power too this place
293s is crawling with things I wouldn't want
295s to see in my worse nightmares souless

301s that look like animals but aren't and

353s and those Hills there are dense forests
356s golden deserts beautiful coastlines
360s Majestic mountains it really can be a
363s treat for the oce and for your porse if

367s that's pretty as peaceful mind
370s you I've heard about a forest that's
372s more dense than any jungle back where we
375s came from full of those walking plants
378s angry and hostile to anyone who crosses
380s their path a swamp stinking not just
383s with putrid Waters but also of soulless
385s Pirates looking to take the plunder from
387s anyone unlucky enough to wander too

390s now can you imagine the nerve of such a
392s thing when you get tired of angry trees
396s and th Pirates you'll find settlements
399s and strongholds all over a tum that hold
402s true to the times and places from when
404s their rulers came people have been
406s coming here for a long long time and
409s you'll find places that look like
411s they've been plucked right out of time
414s itself incredible castles to be explored
417s immense palaces built into the sides of
420s mountains and get this I even hear
423s there's a pyramid out in the desert
425s somewhere the important thing to
427s remember about a tum is that it's equal
430s parts paradise and Peril it's dangerous
434s but exciting just the
437s same there's loads more for me to tell
440s you but I'm feeling a bit exposed out
442s here in the dark and truth be told I'm
445s feeling a bit tsty as well how about you
448s follow me up to the Local Tavern and we
450s can continue this chat over a cold ale
452s and a warm fire trust me I know just the
460s place see now this is much nicer isn't
463s it the one Saving Grace in this island
466s is the taverns not unlike those from
469s home and the barkeep here owes me a few
472s favors so we'll be getting our libations

489s of settlements around the island if you
491s know where to find them folks have been
493s coming here a long time and they've
495s managed to build some impressive things

502s Ancients I saw you perk up at that last
505s part and I don't blame you there's not
507s much we know for certain about these
510s ancients as they're called but they did
512s leave plenty behind for us to witness

515s explore if you spend any time at all in
518s everfall you'll notice a huge ring of
521s obelisks with a single very unique one
525s at the center looks like it just
528s exploded but get this the pieces aren't
532s falling they're just sitting there
535s hovering like they're being held up by
537s sail rigon it's one of the wildest
539s Things I ever laid eyes on and I can't
542s tell you how it's doing

549s that there are some nasty bastards
551s guarding those ruins they don't eat they
554s don't sleep forever keeping watch and
556s being a real nuisance when you're trying

568s groups around here are looking to
570s control as much as they can they seem to
573s be constantly fighting among themselves
575s trying to take over some large fortified
578s settlements scattered around the island
580s these forts change hands fairly
582s frequently depending on what faction is
584s most powerful in the area at the time I
587s am not one for politics but if that's
589s your thing I hear they're always
593s recruiting ah well I know we can't die
596s of old age but I'm sure you're tired of
598s hearing me gab on about the wonders of a
601s tour but how's about another round or
604s two before you strike off the night is
607s young the ale is flowing and the tab is
610s non-existent besides you haven't even
613s heard my best stories
616s yet I'm glad you decided to stick around

657s won't find me in a place like that but
659s you can find a place to rest your head
661s in whatever type of place floats your
663s boat you might want to consider finding
666s a place or two to settle down decorate

672s everfall is quite nice if you don't mind
674s listening to the bickering of its Upper
676s Crust PR when in Monarch's Bluff isn't
679s bad either if you can stand the sound of
681s folks cling around in full suits of
684s armor on those cobblestone streets there
686s are plenty of settlements to choose from
689s so don't don't feel like you have to
690s choose one straight
694s away now as I said I've never been much
697s of a joiner but for most people on a
699s tournament being part of a larger group
701s isn't a bad
703s thing okay so right now there are three
706s main factions on the island there's the
709s Marauders who run themselves like a
712s military Brigade they say they want to
714s bring order to the island but that's a
716s line I've heard before but there's no
718s denying their skills in battle so I just
721s try not to cross
722s them then there's the Covenant idealists
726s searching for some Noble Truth and
729s honorable goals to pursue for all
731s eternity they're a little bit fanatical
733s for my taste and though they pretend to
736s be above such things they've got plenty
739s of coin in their
740s coffers and finally You've Got The
742s Syndicate science types they're a little
745s bookish but they're not ones to get hung
747s up on Notions of honor and righteousness
750s they seem to be sitting on a store of
753s secret knowledge not everyone knows
755s about and that could be worth some
757s coin so there you have it Marauders
761s Covenant and Syndicate all locked in a
764s constant battle for territory and
766s bragging rights if you get into one of
768s the factions you might be in for a lot
770s of fighting on someone else's behalf but
773s work your way up the ranks and I hear
775s they offer their members some decent
777s equipment so at least you'll find some
780s profit in
781s it so you see it's not all Angry statues
785s and hostile Trees n sometimes the things
789s that can kill you are just your everyday
792s normal human beings and they can be the
795s most dangerous of

1020s refugees are beginning to swarm the

1024s settlement listen I have no plans to be
1026s on a turn them any longer than I have to
1029s but as long as we're here we should make
1031s the most of the
1033s adventure explore what you can because
1035s who knows what you'll find just because
1038s a cave is dark doesn't mean you
1040s shouldn't go in and just because a thing
1043s is beautiful doesn't mean it can be
1045s trusted except me of course

1118s angry trees and plants that look like
1120s animals right you can't even trust the
1123s Wilds because it seems that nature
1125s itself is out to get you if you happen
1127s to walk into the wrong Grove and
1129s wandering into a ruin either by accident
1132s or curiosity is sure to earn the WTH of
1135s the Guardians who still think they have
1137s something to protect between them and
1140s the soulless lost we're talking about
1142s the kinds of creepy crawlies from your
1144s scariest bedtime stories ghosts and
1147s Ghasts bizarre lumbering figures that
1150s look like they're carrying coffins and I
1152s hear there are creatures the size of
1154s mountains up even further north on top
1157s of that you've got your wolves bears and
1160s alligators the size of boats you know
1163s the things that usually want to kill you
1165s oh and if you're lucky enough to defeat
1167s any of these things you yeah a while
1170s later they'll just come back like
1171s nothing happened so yeah you've got
1173s immortality but so do all of them it's
1176s like I said straight from your an
1185s nightmares ah well now here's one of the

1193s just arrived on the island I've got to

1229s glory to be acquired on this island but
1232s you would be a fool if you rushed out
1234s head long in pursuit of it if you will
1236s follow my direction however your soul
1239s might survive the certain trials that
1241s lie
1248s ahead my name is Ura and though it is
1251s not well known I have been surviving on
1254s this island for many many centuries
1257s without losing my soul not many Who
1260s Remain sane can claim such a thing
1263s though time can be hazy on eternum
1266s timing is everything and you my friend
1271s unfortunately have arrived in a period
1273s of profound uphe entire Villages have
1277s fallen lost or been destroyed by the
1280s corrupted even nature itself Rises

1285s Humanity in the form of the angry Earth
1289s there are defensible settlements
1291s gathered around the island but there are
1294s also factions within each vying for
1297s dominance caution is critical if you
1300s plan on doing anything other than dying

1305s preparation weapons armor knowledge
1309s skill and keeping your wits about you
1312s this is what you will need to survive on
1314s aern at a bare minimum I will instruct
1318s you in the ways of achiev this but you
1320s must listen closely because I will not
1323s repeat myself come then let me show you
1327s how to navigate this new
1334s world if you truly want to understand a
1337s tum you will need to start at the
1339s beginning or as close to the beginning
1343s as we can get
1352s this beautiful expanse around you is
1355s called Eden Grove this is the Dominion
1358s of nature itself the angry Earth the
1362s origins of the angry Earth are buried
1366s deep in the past I suspect no one knows
1368s for certain what caused nature to
1371s weaponize itself in such a way but I
1375s have my suspicions the angry Earth take
1379s many forms across eternum trees that
1382s walk as humans wolves that appear to be
1385s made from the Earth itself and many
1388s other far more dangerous forms as
1390s [Music]
1394s well there is a woman or so she appears
1398s as such and she claims to commune
1401s directly with the angry Earth she is
1404s called the huntress or by some simply by
1407s the name Adana many have gone forth to
1410s seek her out but I do not know of any
1413s who have returned I would not recommend
1416s it no you are far more likely to
1419s encounter the angry Earth in a quite
1421s violent fashion when you trespass in one
1424s of their sacred Groves or Worse still if
1427s you would seek to exploit the land in
1430s some unnatural fashion so stay vigilant
1434s and clever and you will find ways to
1437s Grapple with the Warriors of the angry
1439s Earth of course avoid them all together
1441s if it's all possible but if you must
1445s engage in battle remember this the angry
1448s Earth is susceptible to the same forces
1450s that disturb nature fire and slashing
1454s with blades with the right axe you can
1457s even turn failed foes into firewood
1460s although I would caution you to be
1461s careful with where you set your Camp I
1465s have also noticed a strange disease
1468s spreading amongst the angry Earth it is
1470s called the blight keep your eyes open
1473s for areas that are choked with yellow
1476s clouds the longer you stand in those
1479s places the worse it will get for you
1481s unless you take the time to learn how to
1485s make blight tinctures which I suggest
1487s you do sooner rather than
1490s later I believe we have throd the ground
1492s here in Eden Grove long enough come let
1495s us leave before we are noticed
1498s is much more for you to learn and it is
1501s better if you learn it
1506s quickly still thinking about the angry
1509s Earth are you I'm not surprised eternum
1513s is not a place where one can drop their
1516s guard without consequences as I've said
1518s before staying out of The Fray has been
1521s my strategy for survival here and it has
1524s served me well but avoiding danger is
1528s not always is possible and that is why I
1531s strongly recommend you quickly find some
1533s way to acquire suitable

1542s armor you're new to the island so
1545s purchasing a full set of armor right
1547s away May cost more coin than you have
1550s but there are plenty of other ways to
1552s find pieces to protect yourself as you
1555s Journey throughout a tum leave no chck
1559s unsearched every being on eternum Hoards
1562s some measure of valuables and when they
1565s fall lost or disappear their possessions
1569s are fair game for the rest of
1571s [Music]
1575s us trade is also an Avenue for acquiring
1578s wealth on eternum and as I mentioned
1581s before you can find villagers willing to
1584s part with their armor pieces for the
1586s right amount there are shops across the
1588s island or you can visit the markets in
1591s the settlements to buy pieces from your
1593s fellow adventurers or if you're so
1597s inclined you can always learn to Fashion
1599s your own armor to wear or sell resources
1602s can be found all over the Wilds here so
1605s the Intrepid can seek out materials and
1608s mold them into something useful in my
1611s time on eternum I have dawned many
1613s varieties of armor and clothing and I've
1616s noticed that one's ability can be
1619s affected by the protection you choose
1621s some offer superior protection against
1624s specific foes or extra movement in
1627s battle some even claim their armor
1630s actually brings them better Fortune
1632s helping them scr up better items when
1634s scouting for supplies don't get too
1638s attached to just one armor style they
1641s each have their virtues and it would be
1643s wise to acquire as many different types
1646s as you can
1648s use dyes to change the color of any
1651s armor set and use them to blend in or
1655s stand out should attention be something
1657s you seek however ill advised that may be
1661s you can also seek out a style mancer to
1664s add flare to your armor with the proper
1667s tokens they will be happy to enchant the
1669s appearance of any armor set you're
1671s wearing to look like another one you've
1677s discovered in any case we should find
1680s you some armor soon or all this teaching
1682s will be for not for the moment at least
1685s I will grant you an old armor set from
1687s my storage nearby that's not worth much
1691s but it certainly offers more protection
1693s than what you're wearing
1697s now as critical as armor may be on
1700s eternum there is one thing you'll find
1702s is even more important when it comes to
1704s your protection knowledge

1716s and many myths and I have been here long
1719s enough to know that the truth of this
1722s place is elusive even to those of us
1725s that have been here several lifetimes

1738s I believe Grace warned you about the
1741s ancient Guardians that stalk the oldest
1743s ruins of eternum they are some of the
1746s fiercest dangers you will encounter on
1748s this island mindless Sentinels dedicated
1751s to maintaining the vigils they were
1753s assigned centuries in the past it was
1756s the Ancients who charged them with their
1758s duties and imbued them with the powers
1761s they
1762s wied the Ancients are long gone now but
1766s as long as the Azo keeps them animated
1769s the Guardians will continue to protect
1771s the artifacts and secrets of their
1774s creators you'll mostly find skeletal
1777s Warriors and mages serving as guardians
1780s but there are some that were never human
1783s at all but rather elements of stone or
1786s metal the Ancients imbued with such
1789s Powers the dangers posed by these
1792s Guardians is boundless they cannot be
1795s reasoned with they cannot be bribed and
1798s they take no
1800s prisoners confronting an ancient
1802s Guardian is a test of both might and
1806s strategy for Brute Force alone will
1809s rarely Prevail of course the Guardians
1812s are only one of many dangers you will
1815s face on this island and under the right
1817s circumstances it might even be advisable
1820s to face
1821s them but come let us wander outside of
1825s the town and I will tell you more of
1827s what you need to know

1833s as daunting and rewarding as those we
1837s refer to as Expeditions these
1840s Expeditions will lead you into ancient
1842s ruins forsaken temples and sunken
1846s caverns and within them you will
1848s encounter enemies the likes of which you
1851s have never seen before
1861s understand this these are not frivolous
1863s JS for the faint-hearted or ill prepared
1867s but profound trials delving into atum's
1871s deepest Mysteries and forgotten places
1874s to undertake an expedition you would be
1877s wise to assemble a set of stalwart
1880s companions cooperation and strategy are
1885s Paramount strength alone will not
1887s suffice
1889s each member of your group must bring
1891s their unique skills and knowledge to
1893s Bear working in harmony to unravel the
1896s secrets and overcome the formidable foes
1899s that lie in
1903s weight Within These depths you will find
1906s artifacts of great power and knowledge
1909s long
1910s forgotten however the journey is fraught
1913s with danger beware of traps powerful
1917s adversaries and do not trust even the
1920s ground Beneath Your Feet as even the

1960s difficult and dangerous Endeavor even
1963s more so by strengthening the beings
1965s within granting them with new powers and
1969s abilities looking at the state of you

1974s way to go before you should even think
1977s about joining an exp comption but rest
1980s assured there are plenty of dangers and
1982s challenges to be faced everywhere on the
1985s tum and learning to face them will
1988s prepare you for greater challenges
1992s ahead pay close attention to what I say
1995s as we move throughout the turnam
1997s newcomer it is crucial you understand
2000s the forces at play here particularly the
2003s minacious forces known as corruption and
2007s the loss

2019s depends on this knowledge among all
2023s threats on eternum corruption is the
2026s most Insidious it is a pervasive evil
2030s seeking to expand into the very essence
2032s of eternum and its inhabitants both man
2035s and Beast alike you will be able to
2038s easily identify that which has fallen to
2041s corruption by the Crimson power in their
2044s eyes and coursing through their bodies
2047s in areas where corruption has taken hold

2465s weapons to choose from we'll begin with
2469s some lighter weapons the kind you can
2471s wield in one hand if you have a good
2474s balance of dexterity and strength a long
2478s sword may be what you seek this is an
2481s excellent choice for Close Quarters
2483s combat but you will find it is less
2486s effective against enemies at range
2488s at those moments it may be wise to pair
2491s your sword with a shield for additional
2494s defensive and offensive
2499s capabilities rapers are light and
2502s dextrous meaning less rest time is
2504s necessary between attacks the Nimble
2507s will use this to their benefit out
2509s maneuvering enemies quickly to attack
2511s from an advantageous position this speed
2515s does come with one disadvantage Ag and
2518s that is a lack of
2520s defense and of course there's the
2522s reliable hand ax or Hatchet these
2526s weapons may be simple but they are very
2529s effective and unlike fighting with a
2531s long sword a hatchet has some utility at
2534s a distance lastly there is the flail a
2539s weapon of chaos and
2541s unpredictability its spiked head
2544s connected by a chain to a sturdy handle
2546s can bypass Shields and armor with
2549s devastating effect making it an
2551s excellent choice for those who prefer
2553s the front lines of Battle of course when
2556s combined with a shield it also allows
2558s its Bearer more utility and defense than
2561s when wielded
2562s alone you'll find that every weapon on
2565s this island has its own strengths and
2568s weaknesses and like armor some weapons
2571s are able to influence your abilities
2574s especially those that are crafted with
2576s gemstone
2579s well there's no time like the present to

2983s a weapon will be handy if you are to

2998s melee weapons but how will you combat
3001s enemies who aren't right in front of you
3004s the answer is simple you do not let them

3015s you to attack from a distance you will
3018s want to use a ranged weapon the first of
3022s these weapons is ancient enough that
3024s even you must be familiar with it the
3027s bow it's light enough to allow its
3030s wielder better opportunities to move and
3032s Dodge incoming attacks and lethal enough
3035s that a competent Archer can inflict
3038s immense damage in the blink of an
3041s eye the other ranged weapons are ones I
3045s find particularly difficult to acclimate
3047s to the first of these is the musket and
3051s if you wish to wield this successfully
3054s then you will need to be nimble and
3056s clever if aimed well it can deal immense
3060s damage but it is slow to
3064s reload the last of the ranged weapons we
3067s will discuss is the blunder bus this
3070s weapon requires more strength than the
3072s other ranged weapons but it also has
3075s surprising utility net shots from the
3078s blunder bust slow enemies allowing for
3081s an easy attack or a hasty escape the
3084s azoth shrapnel blast is perfect for
3087s dealing with large groups of enemies
3090s finally it also has a feature most
3093s called splitting grenades that results
3096s in multiple detonating projectiles and
3099s can do a great amount of damage over a
3101s large area in my experience the best way
3105s to defeat an enemy is to never let them
3107s near you and ranged weapons afford you
3110s just that learn them use them and
3114s perhaps you will survive even longer
