So, I played in the alpha of nmc a while back. I was just scrolling through my steam library and I saw notmycar. What happened? There's essentially been radio silence since the alpha. Is this game going to get released? Was it just abandoned? What's happening?

We just launched our Steam page, announced a partnership with Skybound Games, and are going into our first beta Test Drive this weekend! Servers will be up both Saturday and Sunday from noon to midnight Pacific each day. Since notmycar is already in your library, you should come join us! A lot's probably changed since you last played.
The best places to keep up with the current happenings are definitely our Discord and @notmycargame on Twitter, Reddit hasn't been a huge focus for us so far. We'll definitely be keeping a closer eye here over the coming months.
If you're thinking about hopping back in, let your friends know that if they sign up at notmycar.com within the next few days, there's a very good chance they'll get keys for the Test Drives this weekend. :)

We've had a ton of closed playtests over the past few months, though they were pretty tightly organized so we only really announced them to our Discord community. The Test Drives coming up this weekend are the first time in a while that the servers will be up for everyone with notmycar in their Steam library.
