I just started playing this game, and I'm fairly confident I'll get 100s of hours from it. It's truly the prefect thing to hold me over till the the steam Dwarf Fortress release and it has cool stuff that DF doesn't, which will keep me coming back. Not to mention what the future of Oddrealm holds, very exited.

Speaking of the subjectivity of time, I find the time mechanic really interesting in this game. It seams like each seasons last for about 15-20 human years and the day/night cycle takes place over what I'd imagine to be a couple human months? I'm not sure, I am terrible at math and didn't want to bother figuring it out exactly. I just love the implications of all that, I feel like with decade plus long seasons and month long nights, society would unfold in a much different way than on earth.

Does anyone know exactly how many human years the day night cycle takes and how long the seasons are?

Thanks for the kind words! Really happy to see you enjoying the game. :)

As for the timescale difference, 1 Odd Realm year is 60 days. Each day on Odd Realm is like 1 Earth year. This is just because everything grows/ages much faster on Odd. So, if a Human is born on day 0 of the year, by the end they'll be 60 in terms of age. They would appear to be a 60 year old Human on Earth.

The Ardyn are even worse with their years taking place in a single day although they can live forever in a sense...

That's right! They have super aging.
