[2021] How do you get food??

I planted all five of my carrot and melon seeds as soon as the game started, but now everyone is starving and the crops won't grow for 30-100 more hours. I searched around the map for anything forageable but I've only found flowers and weeds. I have two of the villagers fishing and they've caught diddly-squat, not that I would be able to cook them anyway because I don't have bronze to make a kitchen.

I did manage to cook some plant fiber into fodder though.
