If you combine industrial and fantasy styles in a world is it considered steampunk if a) no steam powers anything and b) the style is not Victorian? If no, what would you call this?

For example, Warhammer 40k. Has magic but also super gritty machinery. What is this? I've seen the term Sci-Fantasy used for it.

@Domin0e Ya, this is what I was thinking too. The world of OR starts off more fantasy but as the timeline progresses is intended to become more of a mix of magic and machinery. Sort of like Warhammer 40k without being so grim-dark.

@mulmbot Interesting. I ask because I intend for my game to have heavy elements of magic and machinery and was curious if I could easily classify those two combinations.

Warcraft is also in this genre I would think. There's a nice mix of magic and machines.

@_benui The newest version in beta gives players the ability to choose their starting location. Otherwise, you'd have to make a stairway down.
