[2019] I can't believe I didn't find this Masterpiece sooner!!!! And is/will there be Mod support?

I have always wanted to get into Dwarf Fortress but the learning curve and tileset, or lack there of, always turned me away. Then I find out the developer of DF is making a steam version (which won't be out for AWHILE, or so I heard) with a better tileset. Then I saw Nookrium play *Magical music plays in the background* Odd Realm, I immediately turned off the video (not a fan of spoilers) and loaded up my steam to purchase that bad boy! I played for a quick 5 minutes as my 8 month old baby girl woke up (perfect timing! LOL JK, love my little stinker!) and before I got back on I thought I would jump on the old interwebs and check out the Odd Realm community also to express the amount of happiness this game brings me! The frequent bug fixes and content updates are another good sign this game isn't going anywhere but Up (in quality.... I guess) ! I was asking about the modding as I would love to get into making some mods/plugins.
