[2019] Farming Underground

Mushrooms are the only thing you can plant without some sort of sky light source. You can build a 3x3 light shaft into your underground base to allow other plant types to grow. Though, all your crops will die at the beginning of winter. Once we add a temperature system to the game, we can do fun stuff where underground crops survive through winter. But, right now, be careful.
