The next update lets you settle on any tile type (like the ocean, here) as well as select your starting position when the map loads. If you choose a water block starting point, the game will generate a little raft for you to start on.
poor guy, it would be funny when they want to come to loot, swimming from the edges! ty for the update !
The plan is to have pirates show up in boats one day soon. As well, I definitely want to add bigger ocean creatures which will lurk in the depths and occasionally attack.
