So I guess the idea to corrupt the shadow has been scrapped. It was never outright said, just whenever the charges QoL was initially talked about, the shadow was pictures with no names named.
Can't speak for the whole team but I've never personally been privy to any conversations about corrupting the Shadow. Think it makes more sense for items that require specific target-farming for their charge provider, but Shadow using solely runes leads me to believe it's not something we'd explore - it's important to sink runes where possible, and there aren't a great deal of Soul rune sinks in the game at all.
Is it really necessary to not include the scythe in the auto charge list? I get that it’s a bit more involved than inventory charging but that’s exactly why it would be so nice to have
Perhaps not 'necessary', but we still think thematics are important! Naturally the Scythe works a little differently to other weapons under the hood so it'd require custom behaviour in the first place, but we're keen to keep world-building elements in place where they exist rather than just culling them and calling it QoL.
Will the keys for Bryo and Obor be looked at as part of Summer Sweep Up?
I believe that is one of the things that we're planning yeah, but that's all you're getting out of me! Wait and see for the rest, there's way more than we shared at RuneFest!
That's like the first edge case to take care of
We'll get it taken care of, ideally via hotfix!
Can the charge thing take runes out of your rune pouch to charge things
Only from the bank, would rather not risk people auto-charging stuff and smoking their rune pouch without realising
Love me some QoL!
There are several items which would make sense to be included in the charge system but currently are not. These are just off the top of my head:
- Crystal shield
- Crystal halberd
- Ring of endurance
- Alchemist's amulet
- Celestial ring/signet
- Ring of the elements
- Giantsoul amulet
- Pendant of ates
- Skull sceptre (i)
- Chronicle
Also, crystal armour and tools currently show corruption % progress, although they are not corruptible.
Most of these should be doable. Ring of Endurance is a question-mark around figuring out which doses to take but we should be able to plug some of these in for next week's update once we're confident any other outstanding issues have been cleared up.
Speaking of QoL to charges. To check the charges of The Bottomless Compost Bucket requires you to use this bizarre action of "Fill/Check" which opens up this interface which confirms which action you want to take. I understand the empty option needing a confirmation window. But needing a confirmation for the check actions rather odd. It would be nice if the "check" and "fill" options were separated.
This might actually be doable right now, initial implementation was specifically required to make sure 'Use' was the left-click op. Will raise to the team and see if it's able to implemented as a feedback change!
That's really cool you added a toggle for these new charge options. Could we see a toggle for the mini-menu that was recently added to the gaem?
Have spoken about this before and investigating whether or not it's possible, but the team isn't certain that it's doable at this stage.
I don’t see the charge options in game. Am I stupid?
Make sure to turn the setting for it on in your Bank Settings menu, check the newspost for instructions!
I did that, also relaunched from the jagex launcher. I’m checking the toxic trident and blowpipe (I did remove my ornament kit). Are either of those supposed to have the option?
They should do assuming you've toggled the setting on
Yeah, I don’t have the option on the official client, runelite, or Mobile (iOS). Bank item options is definitely checked, I have the items required for charges.
Interesting, I have the option on all of the above including kitted blowpipe, would have expected more widespread reports if these were non-functional...
Any news on the castle wars update? We were told on stream it would be this week.
Everything from Poll 83 should have wrapped up within the next two weeks
