[2023] PSA to HCIM: The escape crystal does not save you from DCs in TOA. Our friend's client crashed and using the crystal didn't stop the forced log, killing his HCIM.

It means if you stop clicking you disconnect. It means you cant afk at all while wearing it.
If they used the client ping instead, they could have a much smaller threshold of like 3 seconds of server being unable to find the client and then auto tp you to safety.
Instead you have to have a time last maybe 10 + seconds which could lead to a death even if you disconnect.
Or if you forget to click for 10 seconds while still playing the game, you get pointlessly yeeted out of your content.
