| 62s | around 3 years ago I went on a journey |
| 64s | for the bopita staff for a master clue |
| 66s | step after 450 kill count I promised my |
| 69s | twitch chat that I would dye my hair |
| 71s | green if I went 500 dry safe to say it |
| 75s | happened luckily I did end up getting it |
| 77s | but I went four times the drop rate and |
| 79s | now if you type only trails in the |
| 81s | collection log you'll get zero Brio |
| 83s | fetus Essence but enough about me let's |
| 86s | focus on the rat boss guess I'll man up |
| 88s | and go down there again it's not like |
| 90s | I'm going to go dry on two items into |
| 91s | sewers |
| 93s | right no no no no On's down there go |
| 96s | instantly East and follow the rats right |
| 99s | apparently I can take this boss on Solo |
| 101s | or I can bring some friends if I had any |
| 104s | I imagine if we're hopping on game later |
| 106s | there's going to be plenty of people |
| 108s | just walking around here trying to make |
| 109s | new friends to fight this boss with the |
| 112s | problem is I'm an Iron Man and Iron Man |
| 114s | are doomed to an eternity of standing |
| 117s | alone so that means I got to fight at |
| 119s | solo Iron Man can use the private |
| 121s | instance though so that's pretty nice |
| 123s | but unfortunately I can't use the public |
| 125s | one cuz whenever someone hits my scuri |
| 127s | is I won't get any drops so I guess I'll |
| 129s | get my best gear and get on the |
| 133s | main what scuri is the rad king or as |
| 137s | most of you know him Dino RS this boss's |
| 140s | main purpose is to introduce mid-level |
| 142s | accounts to various pvm mechanics and |
| 143s | will attack with all three combat Styles |
| 146s | so be prepared without giving too much |
| 148s | away rest assured that even with g dehy |
| 150s | Mystic and Rune you'll be more than |
| 152s | equipped for the task at hand however |
| 154s | you are going to need protection prayers |
| 156s | there are moments in this fight where |
| 158s | you'll have to flick between styles to |
| 159s | protect against the boss's damage but |
| 161s | don't worry you have enough Breathing |
| 162s | Room between attacks to get these |
| 163s | prayers correct but hold on I know |
| 165s | there's some highlevel player already |
| 167s | typing a comment about this content |
| 169s | potentially being too easy remember what |
| 170s | I said at the start best in slot combat |
| 173s | XP boom baby best in slot combat XP no |
| 178s | more standing still on afking at the |
| 179s | crabs or nightmare Zone we have a fun |
| 181s | engaging way of training now and in my |
| 183s | professional opinion that's pretty epic |
| 185s | and don't worry this will not just apply |
| 187s | to M as you can see in the clips you can |
| 190s | fight skuas with melee range or Mage the |
| 193s | goal here is to make training more |
| 194s | engaging and fun whilst also teaching |
| 196s | players valuable mechanics they might |
| 198s | come across in the late game beefing up |
| 200s | the mid game seems like an amazing way |
| 201s | to introduce players to prayer switching |
| 203s | movement and timing all things that you |
| 205s | will need to do raids necks desert |
| 208s | Treasure 2 bosses and so much more this |
| 210s | is your first step to getting your first |
| 212s | Twisted bow but let's see how the |
| 213s | comatic speed compares to the current |
| 215s | meta Mage and range had best and Slot |
| 217s | training methods for ages now with |
| 219s | barraging and chins in the monkey |
| 220s | matness two tunnels so with this update |
| 222s | we're trying to make this compatible for |
| 223s | melee but as I said you can also train |
| 225s | the other two combat Styles but again I |
| 228s | know what you're thinking well XP is |
| 229s | great and all but what are the Rewards |
| 232s | well more XP curius has one primarily |
| 235s | unique drop the rat spine this can be |
| 238s | combined with various weapons to create |
| 239s | the rat rat bone Weaponry a rat spine 35 |
| 242s | Fletching and a u short bow will give |
| 244s | you the bone bow a rat spine 35 smithing |
| 246s | and a rune Mace will get you the bone |
| 248s | mace and the rat spine 35 crafting and a |
| 251s | battle staff will give you the bone |
| 252s | staff the rat bone Weaponry will |
| 254s | increase your max hit by 10 on all rats |
| 257s | this obviously means that if you were to |
| 259s | normally Max a 20 on a goblin which is |
| 262s | not possible but hey you get the point |
| 263s | you'll be hitting a 30 on securious this |
| 265s | will make your XP gains even faster the |
| 268s | staff will act like a charge weapon and |
| 270s | you will need chos runes to charge it |
| 272s | the other two are free of charge and you |
| 274s | can use them as much as your heart |
| 275s | desires but what if you already have all |
| 277s | of these and you get another rat spine |
| 280s | well more XP dude who would have guessed |
| 284s | you can trade any excess rat spines with |
| 286s | the NPC just outside the Bala layer for |
| 288s | 5,000 XP in any comat skill or 3.5k |
| 291s | prayer XP but it's not only rat spines |
| 294s | you'll also be getting Level appropriate |
| 295s | supplies like food runes arrows and the |
| 298s | old potion drop or two just to get you |
| 299s | to keep grinding but make sure to manage |
| 301s | your expectations because the content is |
| 303s | designed for level 60 and above so don't |
| 305s | be expecting Snap Dragon seeds or |
| 307s | saradan bruise left and right but what |
| 309s | is there for the high level player that |
| 310s | already has plenty of XP well let's just |
| 313s | say it would be smart to make some room |
| 314s | in your Menagerie since you might find |
| 316s | yourself having a funny feeling or two |
| 318s | while fighting scuri is and since this |
| 320s | boss is highly grindable especially if |
| 322s | you get any of the bone weapons i' |
| 323s | imagine a couple of people might snip |
| 325s | their very first pvm pet with this one |
| 328s | you know what maybe it's a good idea to |
| 329s | look close into the clips and check if |
| 331s | there's some mechanics that you might |
| 332s | recognize and that might help you kill |
| 334s | the boss I'll also try and draw some |
| 336s | parallels to endgame pvm to see how this |
| 338s | could help you in the future the first |
| 340s | thing I noticed is that skuas has three |
| 342s | heads all of them being colorcoded I'm |
| 344s | assuming the blue one is a mage head but |
| 346s | you never know jagx could always hit us |
| 348s | with the old Switcheroo but judging by a |
| 350s | lot of endgame color coding this one |
| 352s | will probably do Mage occasionally there |
| 354s | will also be debris falling from the sky |
| 356s | these are easily visible by looking at |
| 358s | the dust falling from the ceiling or the |
| 360s | the Shadows on the floor this mechanic |
| 361s | has been used in plenty of endgame pvm |
| 363s | encounters like the M crystals falling |
| 365s | or the Final Phase of Leviathan from |
| 367s | Desert Treasure 2 it teaches you how to |
| 369s | move while also making sure you have the |
| 371s | correct prayer up like I said though |
| 372s | with this boss you'll have plenty of |
| 374s | time to react and this will prepare you |
| 375s | for the massive challenges later down |
| 377s | the line in your account's Journey it |
| 379s | seems like in certain parts of the fight |
| 381s | skuas will also run away from the fight |
| 383s | it might be because he's super scared of |
| 385s | your impeccable pvming ability but I |
| 388s | think there's a slightly bigger chance |
| 390s | that he's just hungry and craz for some |
| 392s | cheese that's conveniently placed in the |
| 394s | area this cheese will heal him and once |
| 396s | again this draws a great parallel to |
| 398s | tecton within the chambers of zerich who |
| 400s | doesn't eat cheese but smashes his Anvil |
| 402s | to heal this once again teaches you |
| 404s | pacing of fights and acts like a bit of |
| 406s | a DPS check to see if your gear is up to |
| 408s | par to kill these bosses before they go |
| 410s | and heal but it doesn't even stop there |
| 412s | skuas also has some electricity attack |
| 415s | and throws poison clouds at us man how |
| 418s | many mechanics are we going to have to |
| 419s | face for a midgame boss on top of that |
| 422s | there's rats constantly attacking you |
| 424s | and that will probably chip away at our |
| 426s | health slowly so would it be smart to |
| 428s | kill these or maybe flick back to |
| 430s | protect from melee once we've |
| 432s | successfully blocked the major range |
| 433s | attack I guess we're going to have to |
| 435s | find out I'm genuinely excited to get a |
| 437s | first taste of this boss and even though |
| 438s | I can't yet figure out how these three |
| 440s | heads work I'm sure we'll get the hang |
| 442s | of it in a couple minutes so what are |
| 443s | you waiting for getting game so in about |
| 446s | a week's time when we've all mastered |
| 448s | skuas maybe it's time to take those |
| 450s | skills into vorath or zra or maybe even |
| 454s | your first tombs of a masket even for |
| 455s | those really confident players I |
| 457s | challenge you to do the theater of blood |
| 459s | but maybe start with entry mode |
| 461s | everything is possible and this could be |
| 463s | the start of your pvming journey you |
| 465s | think I'm over exaggerating but I |
