A few weeks ago, I bit the bullet and switched my account to a Jagex account. To my relief, it was painless and the result is awesome. 1 click logins on pc is amazing.
The exact opposite experience has happened for mobile. Before, I could one click login all the time. Very rarely (if ever) did I have to enter my Email and password to log in to mobile.
Ever since upgrading, however, I have to enter my very long email and password EVERYTIME I want to play on mobile. Not only that, but I have to get taken out of runescape app to Jagex website, enter details, open Authenticator get code, go back to website and enter, and FINALLY it takes me back to the runescape app and logs in.
This wouldn’t be such a problem if the whole point of mobile wasn’t that your mostly doing afk activities. I play mobile at work and am more often then not stepping away from my phone, or minimizing the runescape app to send a text/Choose a YouTube video or something. If I take too long, like any more time then 30 seconds, I get logged out and have to do all that again. This wasn’t an issue when I only had to click play to login.
So what gives? This is incredibly frustrating and it makes me wish I’d have never upgraded. I can type my email and password on my pc in less then 10 seconds, it takes me like over a minute to do this login process EVERY TIME.
