s mining smithing fishing cooking fire
s making wood cutting crafting and
s runecrafting the mining skill allows you
s to extract useful ores from rocks all
s around the game this is done using a
s pickaxe
s there are many minds around the
s free-to-play world this includes to
s south of rock one in alkyd one in
s Lumbridge swamp and the dwarf in mine in
s falador when starting off with mining
s you should mine copper and tin you
s should continue to mine copper in 10 all
s the way to level 15 at which point you
s can start mining iron alternatively
s doric squashed can be completed for
s 1,300 mining experience and is a great
s way to get started with this skill the
s smithing skill takes those ores from
s mining turns them into metal bars and
s then turns those metal bars into useable
s weapons armor and tools bars can be
s created by using ores on a furnace
s furnaces can be found in falador
s Lumbridge and many other towns
s throughout the game bars can be smoothed
s into weapons armor and tools and VLEs
s you also need a hammer to smith bars
s which can be purchased at any general
s store the Western of Arak anvil is very
s close to a bank making it a great spot
s to train when starting off with smithing
s the best strategy is to complete the
s knight's sword quest if completed at
s level 1 smithing the experienced reward
s will take you straight to level 29
s the fishing skill allows you to catch
s fish this can be done at fishing spots
s found around the game depending on the
s type of fishing spot you will be able to
s catch different fish and you may require
s different fishing equipment net fishing
s requires a small fishing net bait
s fishing requires a fishing rod and bait
s fly fishing requires a fly-fishing rod
s and feathers all of these tools can be
s purchase from the fishing store found in
s ports or rim to start off with fishing
s you'll want to catch some shrimp this
s can be done with a small fishing net in
s either trainer village or Lumbridge
s swamp once you reach level 5 fishing you
s can start using a fish
s and bait to catch sardines and this can
s be done in these same locations after
s reaching level 20 you can start
s fly-fishing to catch trout the cooking
s skill allows you to turn raw meat and
s other ingredients into edible food this
s is done on fires or on ranges found all
s around the game the most basic form of
s cooking is to cook raw meat to start off
s training cooking you might want to go to
s the Lumbridge cow and chicken pens just
s to pick up the for me you find that
s alternatively you can buy raw meat from
s other players by the grand exchange the
s fire making skill is used to make fires
s using locks there really isn't that much
s to the skill beyond that until you reach
s level 50 after which members can take on
s the winter taught a skilling boss which
s you defeat using fire making fires can
s be created by using a tinderbox on locks
s and that's about all there is to it the
s wood cutting skill involves chopping
s down trees and collecting lakhs to chop
s down trees and train wood cutting you
s must first have a hatchet you get one of
s these straight off tutorial islands and
s you can buy better hatchets from Bob's
s store in Lumbridge to start off with
s wood cutting you should chop down
s standard trees these are found
s everywhere all across the game once
s you've reached level 15 wood cutting you
s can start chopping down oak trees the
s crafting skill allows you to take
s various resources and turn them into
s useful items there are many methods used
s to train crafting from a low level
s perhaps the most popular to start off
s with is creating leather items to do
s this you'll need a needle and thread
s you also need leather which can be
s created by taking cowhides to the
s tanning shop in Alcor it another quick
s method for training crafting at low
s levels is creating jewelry at level 5
s crafting you can create gold rings to do
s this all you need to do is take gold
s bars and a ring mold to a furnace the
s runecrafting skill allows you to take
s rune essence to various rune altars
s around the game and turn the essence
s into rooms which are used to cast spells
s with magic in order to train
s runecrafting you must first complete the
s rune mysteries quest this quest can be
s started by talking to Aubry in the varun
s shop after completing the quest you can
s start the trade runecrafting
s to do this you will need two things a
s talisman or a tiara and rune essence
s talismans and tiaras allow you to access
s a rune oder through Rubens found around
s the game you will need the correct
s tasman or tiara to access a particular
s altar for example you will need an air
s talisman to access the air altar where
s you make air routes training room
s crafting is as simple as running from
s the bank to the altar creating runes
s from essence and that's all for the free
s to play skills so
s let's move on to the members skills the

s skill allows you to navigate the world
s using various shortcuts the skill is
s trained at agility courses which contain
s obstacles you have to overcome
s completing a lap of an agility course
s gives you a lump sum of experience to
s start training agility you need to head

s potions which offer better experience
s you can see the required ingredients for
s these by checking the in-game skill
s guide the thieving skill is used to
s steal items from NPCs no items are
s required to train thieving you simply
s need to find an NPC which can be
s pickpocketed and do it repeatedly a good
s place to start is men and women who can
s be found all over the game once you
s reach level 5 thieving you may want to

s create short bows and once you've
s reached level 10 create long bows the
s Slayer scale allows you to kill unique

s are also going to need seeds which can
s be purchased from other players
s different seeds can be planted in
s different types of plot and they take
s different periods of time to finish
s growing once you have your tools and
s your seeds head to one of the many
s farming patches around the game these
s can be found south of falador inkatha be
s north of are doing and in many other
s locations after raking the weeds from a
s plant your seeds and optionally water
s them now what you need to do is wait
