YOU MAY BE RISKING YOUR ACCOUNT AND DONT KNOW IT

today in bounty hunter i learned that if you die to your targ in the intent of skipping , it detects you as selling your kill. i learned the hard way and lost a 260+ day account , i died to my target with the intention to skip and get a more evenly matched target, and i think something detected me thinking i was selling the kill. any thoughts on this? if my target was way to good for me i would de gear and just afk in the crator until someone killed me. i didn’t think this was against the rules.

Hey 223s, just wanted to reach out as I've been speaking with the team regarding your ban.

Your account was involved in quite a number of deaths in Bounty Hunter which would trigger you as a booster - a total of 23 incidents of this occurring since we posted about boosting being against the rules on the 1st June (post here), which triggered the system to highlight your account for investigation, ultimately leading into it being banned.

We have discussed your account at length, and whilst you were involved in a number of incidents, we believe that you were acting in good faith, not meaning to harm the experience of other players by suiciding to skip targets when nearing your skip penalty. We have decided to reduce the penalty to a temporary ban rather than permanent.

We've carried out checks on any other account that may have been banned for similar reasons and adjusted the duration accordingly. As a result, we've also updated the way we're tracking Bounty Hunter boosting so a perm ban should not apply in these instances, though we would like to reiterate that any punishment is only applied to those who are consistently found to be boosting within the crater. The odd suicide to skip a target here or there won't trigger the system.

Thanks for raising it with us and hopefully you can find joy in Bounty Hunter once more when your account is unbanned. You should have received a message in your account centre giving you all of the details needed.
