[2020] Google+ Login on Desktop

The support site is as useless as ever, but I'm just wondering if anyone around here has ever run in to the same issue I'm having, and possibly knows of a solution. The primary account I play Runescape on uses a Google+ login, since I originally made it for RS3 and love convenience. I noticed the G+ login option for OSRS is available on mobile, but not on the desktop client. Is there any workaround to be able to use that account on desktop, since the website is saying that I can't change my login email?

There aren't plans for a Google login on desktop, but you are able to attach a "normal" login email to an account created with Google. That coupled with the ability to remember login info on desktop should allow for the convenience you want!

So a login email for it does exist, but it's just an older one?

Keep in mind that the login email would not necessarily be the same thing as the email used to create the Google account. If an account is created with Google then we don't see what email was used to create it, only that it's a Google account - does that make sense?
