Hello everyone, I'm a new OSRS player. I've found the game after a long search for my "perfect" type of MMORPG - one that lets you basically do whatever you want and be whoever you want - and I think I've finally found it within this game. I've played a couple hours and really enjoyed my time, also I love the "old" graphics style, I find it charming. Now, I want to ask you guys some questions about the game:
- I currently play on mobile (since I work and travel a lot). Will my account also be available on desktop if I download the game client there?
- Are mobile players seen "differently", or considered worse, like in most other cross-platform mobile games?
- I've heard that the desktop version has some unofficial clients that make some parts of the menu management easier. Are they considered illegal, and if not so, which one would you guys recommend?
- Is the game population healthy? I think the best part of MMOs is to get to know new people, and I'd love to do so in a game like this, since most of the community seems friendly (or at least, from the outside).
I know all these questions can be found by googling a bit, but I'd rather hear opinions from active players to get an even better overview of the game.
Thank you guys in advance. :)
EDIT:
Also, how the heck is Sea Shanty 2 so catchy?!
