Unfortunately, we're keeping the Beta Worlds offline until next week, at the earliest Monday, 25th September. Our biggest concern with rushing into relaunching the worlds doesn't just mean we aren't doing our due diligence but also means we have a full week of monitoring, rather than going into a weekend, out of working hours.
To give you some further clarity, we want to be extremely cautious around systems slightly external to the worlds themselves, such as Bonds, Group Ironman Storage and Hardcore Deaths and how they interact with Beta Worlds. We fully believe that the interactions have in fact all been perfectly safe, but are acting out of an abundance of caution to be absolutely sure of it.
The first thing we do not want to risk with these new worlds is the safety and integrity of your main game accounts, as these worlds are there to be fully removed from interacting with them, outside of copying your stats, items and more.
This does mean the team can continue the focus and attention to the feedback we saw within the first two hours of the Beta Worlds launch and keep that consistent once the Beta Worlds resume. Like the previous instances of delays with the Mobile TLI and Beta Worlds, the team are saddened by the eventual outcome of closing the worlds, but strongly feels it is the right decision.
We appreciate Beta Worlds as a whole has been a rocky road, but we fully believe that once these Beta Worlds are healthy and ready to launch again will be in a great place. This has meant that with all the challenges we've encountered and solved with this project, all of the core Beta Worlds infrastructure will be something that is put into all future Betas.
We will look to update you next week when we are in a more comfortable position to confirm what time the Beta Worlds will open again. We thoroughly appreciate your patience over this project and we hope to have some good news to share with you on Monday. Thank you.
