I just completed The Garden of Death again, and I forgot just how much fun it was.

I always felt RuneScape did an amazing job with environmental storytelling, and I've always wanted the Jmods to lean into that more as it's not something that should be ignored. Regular quests that are easy to finish with a guide or quest helper have their place, but having ones that actually require you to use your brain a bit are a good thing and I will die on this hill.

I know most people on this subreddit just mute their in game audio and skip all the dialogue, but I'm tremendously happy that we have Jmods (mostly Mod Ed) that still care about the lore and storytelling and give fans of that what they want, and I'm also glad we have a world-class audio team that puts out some incredible music and sound design despite the amount of people that play the game muted. I feel both the audio team and the writers (again, mostly Ed) are overlooked in favor of the art team (who still deserve all the praise they get).

Even if DT2 had no rewards, I'd still be excited for it because I'm expecting good writing, great environmental storytelling, amazing art, and phenomenal music + sound design. If DT2 is even half as good as Song of the Elves was (which I think is a masterpiece) then I'm happy.

Glad someone agrees with me, definitely one of my favourite quests and I would give anything to reset my memory and play it again!
