And the actual foundry news post isnt updated yet either
Apologies! The link has been added to the Gazette and the text changed to better reflect as the update to Foundry newspost has been pushed back and that was from an earlier draft.
The update to the GF blog will come soon!
Curious how they plan on buffing the rates at Giants Foundry. As a completionist player I’m going to “have” to do it regardless of how good/bad the experience is to complete the log. If the experience is still bad, relatively, I at least hope the unique rewards are closer to Lumberjack/Rogues Outfit than Raiment of the Eye in terms of time investment.
Until the updated version goes out, I'd recommend checking out the Q&A with Mod Oasis highlighted in this Gazette to outline the changes with rewards and experience.
Whichever mod put the "do you like dags" caption under the dogs picture I love you almost as much as I love the movie Snatch
Snatch > Sarnie
Lots of interesting ideas in here. The trading card game and the football manager parody feel quite "Out there" though, like they should almost be their own standalone things. Casually just adding "You get cards by doing literally everything in game" is a brand new concept for oldschool, there is no comparable thing in game at the moment, and I think adding universal drops of items for random minigames to the entire game is a bigger leap than the blog makes it sound.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I didn't want to disrupt any current content and only add to it with the TCG so it would be something that would be a nice additional surprise if you wanted to get cards :)

I would love a card trading feature. I think every skilling/enemy should have a unique card drop table that it can roll and it will give players card to collect. These cards can then be put in a Card Collection Book (like a Pokemon index) and then traded against other players.
Oh trust me that's what I would want to do, what's a TCG without the collecting element after all :D
TCG would be a really cool idea lol, especially if players can fill it up with cards and it doesn't take itself too seriously
Cheers! Defo something that wouldn't be take itself too seriously :)
Really impressed with the creativity and energy that's permeated throughout every Game Jam idea. Makes me wish we went back to the days of TAPP and could see more of these projects realistically come to life! An in-game TCG, the Piscarillius Rework, more Twisted Tales, Player Owned Farms, Forestry, and more... all fantastic looking concepts!
Honestly, it was great seeing the creativity from all over the Old School team :D
Where is Shiba, Corgi and Capybara dogs?
Maybe I just didn't show all the dogs...
The dog and player farm ideas seem great to me and I like the idea of more Fight Cave games.
I'm not sold on Gnomeball managed and a TCG though. One is just not my thing and I find the TCG a bit jarring.
That's understandable, I know a TCG isn't for everyone but I'm glad you're digging some of the other ideas! The teams did amazing :)
Just want to add on here that for some people, myself included, expanded tertiary drops is a serious turn off. Viz and summoning charms vibes.
Love the card idea but I would genuinely hate to have sort through over-time-useless repeat card drops from generic monsters. This game has enough visual clutter and collectathons already. Just make it as unintrusive as possible tl;dr
What I had in mind is that the cards won't be physical in terms of drops so you wouldn't have to pick them up, it would work as an extra 'Card Roll' for those people who've opted into getting cards. I wanted to make sure it didn't interrupt normal play as much as possible. :)
If you make the TGC game interface not override or stop skilling actions, so i can duel people while AFK fishing a spot or something, that would be incredible.
That's why I added the little minus button at the top left corner ;)
