Seeing as they gave a mobile beta update as part of this post with no real information other than dates we already knew, here's what I posted earlier this week:
Hi all, Just a little summary of what's been happening in the android beta so far in case anyone cared. I did ask in the discord if they mind us discussing on Reddit but did not receive any responses.
These are ordered as they come to my mind.
Tile markers were not added to this update. Apparently they will not be part of this update and we will have to wait for them later. I have strongly urged staff to reconsider this as it's important for the Inferno and Cox, and also helpful for some other content like Zulrah. I doubt it we be brought forward but it's possible.
True tile(showing where you currently stand in game) works pretty well however and is in the beta currently, as well as target tile.
There were a looooot of crashes for many devices leasing me to believe it may take a while before this build becomes stable enough for a release. Priority seems to be fixing crashing for now which obviously is a good idea. It's a beta though so it's not unexpected.
Some other features like boosted stats display are a little buggy but work in general and are quite nice.
The in game contrast/display seems to have changed and it somehow looks the same but much nicer on the eyes at the same time.
UI display is altered: There are 3 UI quality setting which change the way your text displays per pixel(toggle is done via commands and not yet in the settings menu but I assume it will be added because some players settings are really bad by default)
Scouters and Cox players rejoice as Cox helpers seem to be working despite a couple bugs which are being ironed out.
Increased render is amazing, however lower end users will quickly see that even a slight increase can absolutely slow down the fps, even on devices that ran smoothly on low draw distance. Stronger device users have reported playing on max render with no major fps drop!
XP tracker is awesome, however it does block all the right hand UI objects. So you can't keep it open while skilling, some users are suggesting ways to be able to keep it open while skilling at the same time, jmods have noticed this but I don't know that it will be changed. I personally believe Something like auto swapping it to the other side of the screen depending on which menu you have open for example could work. Tracker can be minimized and maximized or disabled completely in the menu to get back your full screen space. Suggestions to add a loot tracker there too.
Beta will close on the 8th and we will all be back on the normal client. iOs expected early next year with no approx date given.
That's basically it! It's quite fun overall and feels really nice. My biggest personal hope is that we get tile markers before the official release, and a way to keep the tracker on without blocking things. Otherwise I love the update so far.

We're planning to go over the feedback at the end of the Beta to see what needs fixing and changing, so I'd expect a blogpost to go out about this summarising more detail.
Do you need an invite to the OSRS Discord? I can get you sorted with the role if our bot hasn't recognised you automatically.
Mod Gecko, our QA Analyst that is working on our client upgrades is also very active in the Android Beta channels, and they would probably find your information and feedback particularly useful.

New bug. When withdrawing noted items from bank. The 'noted' selection is reset when exiting bank.
We've investigated this and can't see any changes from this update. (Same behaviour has existed from 2013 apparently).
We’ve lowered the HiScores’ TzKal-Zuk Kill Count Requirement from 2 to 1.

Fixed a bug where the Dinh’s Bulwark’s special attack was reducing the stats of its target twice as much as intended. We appreciate that some players liked how powerful it was, but this was caused by a bug, and has now been removed. If we see significant demand for stat-reducing special attacks in future, we’ll consider adding new items to accomplish that.

Hey! Yeah I actually just sent a DM to mod Gecko regarding an iOs bug and he has been really helpful. I'll pass this onto him as well just in case he wanted a look too! I got most of this information from the discord by reading what issues most people were having already and seeing what common trends were appearing. I can't give ETAs at the moment, I'm so sorry! Gazette is being worked on currently by Sarnie. Regarding the updated Raids Blog, it's a bit further off probably. I think we're hoping for it to be before end of year (this month) but I'm honestly not sure yet.
Any chance the Ali Morrisane change could get taken a step further to include options for specific shop options as they're unlocked? It would be so cool to just have a one-click to get to the rune options since that's the one thing I (and I'd imagine most people) use him for.
EDIT: Never mind, I didn't realize it's a separate trade menu entirely with no delay to get to the rune menu. This is awesome.

Please allow mining during NPC combat. This will make half of the wilderness star locations almost impossible to mine otherwise. Waiting for 10 minute deaggro will be terrible especially if you die to pkers after finishing deaggro

You mention that "some activities will be prevented during combat, including the duration of the PJ Timer," such as mining. Is this defined as combat with players or any combat, including with NPCs? Locations like the hobgoblin mine and skeleton coal mine in the wilderness would become near-impossible to utilize if it were the latter.
