3s You’re in my sights.
7s Hi. I'm ML7.
8s We've taken a look at the changes for season nine and the’re pretty massive.
12s First, let's talk about the changes to the core gameplay.
18s They were designed with four major goals behind them.
20s Make shooting feel better and more consistent.
23s Reduce the effectiveness of burst damage.
25s Lower some of the added healing
27s pressure that comes from the increase in health pools and more landed shots.
31s And find a way to cut through sustain during teamfights.
34s Most damage dealing hitscans and projectile radiuses have been increased.
38s This means that shooting in Overwatch will feel more consistent and rewarding.
41s This is a huge update to the core gameplay as it opens up
45s new strategies because the breakpoints have changed.
48s For example,
49s if before the season it took Kiriko two headshots to eliminate a Soldier 76.
53s Now it's going to take them two headshots and a body shot to get the job done
57s and get a reaction.
58s There will be a lot of experimenting
60s in this season, but I feel like here is that have abilities or ultimates
64s that do damage based on percentages of the enemy's health bug
68s will probably be pretty strong alongside with heroes that can deny enemy abilities.
74s There's a new global health organization passive.
76s After 5 seconds of not taking damage on DPS and Tank heroes and two
79s and a half seconds for support heroes, they will regenerate 20 HP per second.
84s Now, I think that this will result in Genji spamming a little bit
87s less of “I need healing” in game, but I think I might be too optimistic.
91s I need healing.
92s Damage heroes disrupt enemies healing received by 20% for 2 seconds.
96s There is no minimum damage requirement to activate the passive,
99s which means that in theory you can have the entire enemy team affected by it.
103s Imagine playing heroes like Mei
105s when everybody from the enemy team is grouped up in front of you.
108s The passive doesn't stack as it's capped at 20%, but you can refresh its duration.
112s A ton of fresh changes and there is no way of knowing how the meta will be.
115s But innovating and finding the best strategy
118s should give you an upper hand and help you win more games.
120s Hello. I'm Eskay.
122s I play Overwatch too much and I'm here
124s to tell you about the season nine competitive rework.
127s First off,
129s the card system is gone Instead, you're going to see your rank update
132s after every game and you'll see exactly how much you've won or lost.
135s Also, gone is the confusion.
137s Why have I won more games than I've lost, but I'm lower than where I started?
140s That doesn’t make any sense.
142s Well, now, if you take a look at the green or red arrows below your updated rank
146s after a game, it'll tell you exactly why you've gained or lost more than usual.
151s For example, maybe you're on a huge win streak.
153s That means you'll get a little more rank for winning than you usually would.
156s And it's going to show you with the green arrow right below,
159s Top players also have something to grind for.
161s There's a new rank
162s above Grandmasters called Champion, ranging from Champ 5 through Champ 1.
166s With Champ 1 being so high rated that we might not even see anyone hit it
170s this season.
171s If there's one thing
171s you absolutely need to know, it's that ranks are going to be soft reset.
176s Your first ten matches of the season,
177s you'll be in placements and winning or losing can give you huge gains and losses.
181s Wedding comp games in season nine will also give us a new currency
185s that we can use to buy
185s jade weapons will only be able to earn the currency for a year.
189s After that, all the points will turn into gold weapons.
191s Okay. Bye.
