6s | The workshop is an extension |
---|---|
8s | to the custom game system that was already in place. |
10s | It allows you to change the very rules of Overwatch itself. |
14s | You can change weapons, abilities, |
16s | movement options, gravity speed, camera you name it. |
20s | For instance, you cold make it so that every time Torbjörn shoots someone |
24s | they are frozen. |
28s | You can change the way that time scales |
30s | based on how many players are left alive. |
33s | I've been absolutely floored by some of the stuff players come up with. |
37s | And there are a ton of really crazy game modes out there. |
40s | I saw a side-view version of Overwatch, where it's a brawling game mode |
45s | and where they fight each other as Doomfist |
47s | and try to knock each other off the map. |
49s | One of the really cool things I saw online |
51s | was a magnet attached to the payload that pulls in all the players |
55s | and make sure that they are doing their job. |
58s | Wow, this is so cool, this is something our players did |
60s | that we had never thought of. |
62s | So much potential here |
63s | and we are so excited to see what comes next. |
65s | The reason why we build the workshop, is because we felt like |
69s | fans had so much to offer in terms of gameplay and ideas |
73s | that we just wanted to wait for players to be able to take those ideas |
77s | and make them real inside Overwatch. |
79s | One of the things we say on the Overwatch team |
81s | at the end of every meeting is "Let's make a great game" |
83s | so I just like to say to the players: Let's make a great game! |
