| 8s | We're here with a very quick Developer Update, |
| 11s | but don't worry, there are more coming very, very soon. |
| 14s | So, today I wanted to talk a little bit about our summer schedule. |
| 18s | Now, a lot of you have tracked us over the years |
| 21s | and followed what content we release when, |
| 24s | and it's made it so you can kind of predict what's coming out when. |
| 27s | I want to caution you that we're going to do some things differently this summer. |
| 31s | For example, Summer Games, |
| 34s | the event is coming back, |
| 36s | but it's going to happen much sooner than it usually happens. |
| 39s | You'll learn more about that soon, but we think you'll be pleased. |
| 42s | You'll get Summer Games even sooner than you expect. |
| 46s | That should be cool. |
| 47s | There's another change happening in Summer Games |
| 50s | that I also think is pretty awesome, and we think you'll really enjoy. |
| 54s | So, as you know, we've been running some of these challenge events. |
| 58s | We had Baptiste's Reunion Challenge that we ran. |
| 62s | Well, for Summer Games, |
| 64s | for each of the 3 weeks that the event is live, |
| 66s | there will be a weekly mini challenge |
| 69s | for each of the 3 weeks, |
| 71s | where you will be able to unlock an Epic Skin. |
| 74s | So, we think some of the changes to how we distribute skins and how you get them |
| 79s | will be much more compelling |
| 81s | and you'll enjoy that a lot more. |
| 82s | So, look forward to that, |
| 84s | and other little changes coming to Summer Games in the schedule. |
| 88s | That also means, if some of you have tracked us over the years, |
| 91s | what we release when, |
| 93s | you're probably anticipating a hero release sometime very soon. |
| 97s | Well, don't worry. We are working on a hero. |
| 100s | Hero number 31 is going to be awesome, |
| 103s | but he is going to be released a little bit later than you're used to. |
| 108s | But he'll be here soon enough, so don't worry. |
| 112s | And we think a little bit of extra time |
| 115s | is going to make the hero even more awesome. |
| 118s | Besides that, we've been working on lots of quality-of-life things. |
| 121s | You saw subtitles recently got introduced to the game, which has been fantastic. |
| 126s | We'll continue to iterate on that system. |
| 128s | We think it's been a really great boon for people who are hearing-impaired, |
| 134s | as well as those of us who just like to read subtitles |
| 137s | and play with closed captions. |
| 139s | So, we think that was an awesome addition. |
| 142s | Another thing that we're adding, |
| 143s | and some of you have noticed it on the PTR, |
| 146s | is we have improved detection for cheating, |
| 150s | and now we will automatically shut down a match |
| 154s | where we detect cheating is happening, |
| 157s | and we will make sure that nobody on either side of the match is penalized |
| 162s | for that match being shut down. |
| 164s | So, if you're in a competitive match, |
| 166s | you won't lose SR if a cheater's on the other team |
| 169s | or a cheater's on your team, |
| 171s | and very harsh actions are happening against that cheater, you can be assured. |
| 175s | We think this is just the next evolution of cheat detection in the game, |
| 179s | which is pretty awesome. |
| 180s | So, as I mentioned, I'm going to keep this one really short. |
| 183s | We have changes to the summer schedule coming up. |
| 186s | Summer Games is coming sooner than it usually does. |
| 189s | Our summer hero's going to come a little bit later than it normally does, |
| 194s | but it will be worth the wait. |
| 195s | We've done improvements to things like subtitles and cheat detection, |
| 199s | and there are a couple more Developer Updates coming very, very soon |
| 203s | that I think you'll be extremely excited about. |
