In the 2.1.5 update Owlcat implemented user tracking via a 3rd party service without our permission.

Regardless of whether you agree or not, please vote and make the community's opinion on the matter heard and seen. Thank you.

I firmly believe that software developers should not be tracking us without our consent. It is universally agreed upon that data gathered from such tracking can be useful for company decision making but our participation in it should be up to us.

This is a product i love and it pains me deeply that Owlcat proceeds to track me without my permission. I don't want Owlcat to know anything at all about my behavior regarding the product i have purchased from them and depriving me of the choice to participate in said data gathering is unethical.

On a personal note, if this game had AppFlyer or whatever tracking implemented from the start and i knew about it, i would not have purchased it to begin with. My intention is to not purchase any future content for the game or any future games from the company for as long as they track me without permission.

Hey guys. Thank you all for the feedback, we hear you loud and clear, and apologize for all the outrage caused. Honestly, it was deserved.

The change has been reverted. The third party app will be removed, all data already collected - wiped, and the old version of EULA reinstated with a hotfix within nearest 24h.
