[2022] achievements not unlocking

Hey,

So I just got the game on Steam sale and have never played a pathfinder game before.

So I'm still in the prologue and finally managed to beat the water elemental after like 300 tries in core mode only to realize bthe achievement didn't pop up.

I looked into fixes, I found a mod that enables achievements (I didn't bplay with mods before, but what gives) but that doesn't seem to help either.

So my question: is there any other way to fix achievements which don't pop up? That water elemental died multiple times now but I didn't get the achievement.
