So I'm about 4 days in of play time on my first playthrough. I was taking my time, playing on harder difficulty, doing everything i could as far as quests, locations, etc. But in the final chapter I hit this point where I'm kind of done with my current character concept and just want to finish so I can roll up a fresh build to try. I had this same thing happen in Kingmaker. I don't know if its just me, if the quality seems to decline in the latter portion, or what. Like I'm in Threshold and almost just want to restart now and not beat it. There's so many choices that can change how things go, it almost feels impossible to see it all, but I get like I wanna stop and do another so I can see that one option I didn't pick.

Current build for my no-look playthrough has been a scaled fist 1/two handed fighter 19/trickster crit fisher falchion, and while its hilariously broken, its almost too easy even with the difficulty turned up a bit (I'm not about that Unfair life tho). Kinda torn on what to do next playthrough, though I do know it will be more RPish. Thinking enchanter with a harem (toybox turn all romances on at once) or maybe a grenadier alchemist based on Ryza Stout? Sorry if i rambled a little at the end.

I have the opposite problem. I enjoy these games the most when my build is complete and I get to finally enjoy the power I’ve put time and effort toward. When I start anew, everything that happens before I max out feels like a necessary evil I must go through to get to when the real fun starts. For me that’s usually end of Act 4.

I know, I’m odd like that.

You'll enjoy the first DLC then :)
