Yes, you'll encounter pre-grown gardens that have ready to go pairs of crops you can select between.

The Raider is being rebalanced too. (All Ascendancy classes with the most significant reworks happening on the Elementalist, Inquisitor and Deadeye).
do we get the horticulture storage right away or does it need to be unlocked?
Yep, you're given the Horticrafting Station after finishing your first Harvest encounter. It can store up to 10 crafts and can be placed and used from your hideout.
I was hyped like crazy until I saw the word harvest. I appreciate the hardwork that went into that league but I haven't stopped playing a league as fast ever. It just felt like you had to stop what you were doing every 5 maps to go spin a needless plate.
Harvest content is optional. Here's how it works now - "Harvest has returned. Instead of having to plant and manage your own Sacred Grove, you will discover portals to established gardens with multiple sets of harvests ready to go. From each pair of options, carefully weigh the encounter difficulty against the crafting outcomes before making a choice. If you can slay the monsters that spawn, you'll be rewarded with Lifeforce that can be used to greatly improve your items."
