as always :/ was a good start... but now... Washington GW hello my old friend

Most of our traffic is being dropped as it goes through the Sao Paulo internet exchange (https://ix.br/trafego/agregado/sp). This is causing the gateway to disconnect from the realm. We're having our host check what's going on.

Edit: redirecting logins through to Texas temporarily while this is down. Edit2: logins should be accepted through the gateway now

I know you probably keep getting this type of quesitons, but have you looked into other countries to create a gateway in South America?

Even though Chile doesn't have the fastest connections, the net is usually estable here.
Not sure how it is in other countries, maybe Equator or Peru might also be other alternatives.

As an example, I get around 100-110 ms from the Sao Paulo gateway on "good days" (sometimes I get up to 150), and about 180-190 from texas and Washington gets me about 10 higher than texas on average, but a lot of the time the texas one or the Washington one are much more stable and playable for me anyway.

I'm just wondering if it's a problem of player base (perhaps there's too few in the west coast of SA to justify the gateway here) or maybe resources (perhaps Chile or other countries are more expensive than Brazil) or maybe there's another reason (logistics, contacts, time constraints, etc).

I have been testing some other South American providers over last few months. but I have found that they tend to use the same upstream networks, and as such are vulnerable to the same type of problem.

Also, around 80% of players using the current gateway are from Brazil, so replacing the gateway with one outside of the country would be less than ideal.
