[2019] Possible event time start mix-up?

When i login, the event countdown clock says 12 hours. However, this doesnt align with https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2501322

In the above link it displays the event start time locally, or so it states. For me the webpage states 9pm. However, the client states 5pm. Either i am over looking something or there seems to be some oversight somewhere from GGG.

I am going to presume the event is starting at 5pm for me. Which means i will still be watching detective pikachu, as i had made plans around the 9pm start.

Just wanted to share this information in case, i am not actually misreading the details in exhaustion.
