[2021] An MTX concept occurred to me, and now that it has, how utterly obvious it seems, I can't believe it wasn't done from the start

Purchaseable hideout "curio" showcase doodads that we can put in our hideout to showcase crafts we are proud of from leagues past.

It would operate like a skin transfer, and you'd have to destroy the item from league to turn it permanently into a hideout curio display, where visitors can walk up to it, and with exactly the same item highlighting/functionality we see displayed in grand Heist layout would be something like how it would look.

It would be neat to be able to leave something in a trophy case from previous leagues that could "follow" you into future leagues in just a ghostly museum piece sort of way.

It seems so natural as though they could be angling to do it. If they weren't, then I can't believe that someone hasn't been pointing out how much money would be in that kind of hideout personalization.

And in a game centered around grinding gear. that the functionality not be there to show them off seems like an oversight.

I can see how it would be difficult; we'd all need some kind of batcave personal hideaway that other players could visit for it to work. And teams or artists designing curio cases that could hold items. :P
