Just finished a pass on all reflex and ACOG reticles. Optics of the same style (ie. red dot to red dot) will have consistent reticle sizes across all weapons they're used on, and we've updated texture visuals on some of them, too! Shown: a VS carbine and sidearm. #planetside2 http://pbs.twimg.com/media/FnRpN0PaMAICtf-.jpg

@t_reester I've heard this off-hand a few times over the years, but I don't think anyone has sent over evidence. We can look into it if there's a good example. It might be texture specific, or might be unfixable due to image compression. Iron sights, however, are unlikely to get fixed.

@t_reester Ah. This is what I was referring to by the image compression, but now that I see it, I'm wondering if it was due to how the old red dot shader worked, because it stretched or squashed a reticle on two axis separately. You can see by the (old) red dot texture that it's centered. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/FnSJ4YuaYAEjjL8.png

@t_reester The new shader we're using might fix this issue (because it scales uniformly based on a single scalar,) but I'll say up front that whether or not a reticle is off by a pixel isn't something that we're actively trying to address.

@Shvok_official @t_reester Reester shared some helpful screenshots, fortunately.

@t_reester @Coconut66881 Optics haven't worked 'this' way in years... these these images are back from 2014 before everything was converted to overlays...

@mataznuiz @kwhattomakethis @JainusVt I'll ask the team to take a look later this week. We can't do a per-reticle color selection without a substantial overhaul, but using the existing color shifting in the UserOptions.ini might be a possibility.
