Thank you so much to the 170,000 Trainers who attended the Pokémon GO Safari Zone event in Dortmund, Germany, and the millions of Trainers all around the world who participated in the event’s Global Challenge! In total, Safari Zone attendees completed more than 890K+ research tasks on June 30 and July 1, catching 1.75M Roselia and making 17K+ trades. Great work, Trainers!

Early Saturday, some Trainers faced log-in and connectivity issues due to the incredible number of Trainers participating in the park and throughout the city of Dortmund, but after working with our partners, we were able to remedy the log-in issue and restore access later that afternoon. The impacted Trainers were then able to explore the park with new friends in search of Pokémon such as Roselia, Corsola, and Unown. It was truly amazing to see so many Trainers enjoying their time playing Pokémon GO in such a beautiful location.

Although we were able to overcome the issues we faced on Saturday morning and early afternoon, we’ll be hosting a special Europe-wide event to thank those who attended for remaining patient as we worked through these technical issues. From 12:00 a.m. UTC on Tuesday, July 3 until 11:59 p.m. UTC on Wednesday, July 4, Pokémon such as Corsola and Roselia may appear throughout Europe, so keep an eye out, Trainers!

Trainers around the world showed up in inspiring numbers to complete Professor Willow’s Global Challenge. No matter which team you’re on or where you live, you’ll be able to access all related bonuses for your success in this event. Until July 9, you’ll be able to enjoy 3× catch XP, 2× raid XP, and 3× hatch XP bonuses! Plus, Lucky Eggs will activate for twice as long, giving you a whole hour of bonus XP!

In addition to the amazing XP bonuses, Articuno will be available in Raid Battles around the world during Articuno Day. And if you’re lucky, you may be able to encounter its Shiny form! See below for event hours in your region:

The Asia-Pacific region: 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. JST (GMT +9)
Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India: 9:00 a.m.to 12:00 p.m. UTC (GMT +0)
The Americas and Greenland: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PT (GMT -8)

When you spin a Photo Disc at a Gym, you will receive a Raid Pass up to five times starting when the event kicks off in the Asia-Pacific region. Make it a day to remember by supporting your fellow Trainers, abiding by all local laws, and leaving your community better than you found it!

Your achievements never cease to amaze us, Trainers. We can’t wait to see how you come together and complete the next leg of the Global Challenge on July 14–15, during Pokémon GO Fest in Chicago, Illinois.

But in the meantime, we hope that you’re enjoying these awesome bonuses and have an incredible time participating in both Articuno Day and Pokémon GO Community Day this weekend.
