121s are meeting as uh as always to to review
124s uh the highlights of the uh of the
127s polium uh the games were played in in
131s August um but before we start um I
136s wanted to ask our guests about the
139s Aquarian rework because uh there was a
141s bit of a Twist uh in our stream so we'll
145s start with the uh with the aquarium
148s games even though it's an homage
151s um live stream because uh in August when
155s the rework was released we had a a
158s quaring week and there were some some
161s matches played during this this week so
164s guys what are your feelings and opinions
166s about the new aquarium uh share with
168s with
170s us maybe
172s you you're more experienced maybe the
175s most experienced one in this group I was
178s definitely the most experienced during
179s the beta play test I'm not sure by now
182s because a lot of people have been
183s getting their hands on aquarium um I
186s know a lot of people were initially very
189s upset about uh some of the changes I
193s think I see fewer complaints these days
195s and personally I actually quite like
198s them I well I almost only play Aquarian
201s at the moment because they just feel
204s fresh they keep feeling fun to me and
208s I'm getting them to work so I think
210s definitely not as bad as some people are
211s making them out to be in fact I think
213s they're in a really really good spot not
216s too strong not too weak just nice
218s balanced
219s stripe okay cool maradon have you had
224s with W boy on this one I absolutely love
227s the rework and I like seeing those new
231s unit Concepts and how they worked out I
233s think they had a whole another dimension
235s to the gamep playay especially all the
238s flooding tile mechanic
241s they feel native on one hand and on the
244s other hand there's something new and
247s something players can experiment with I
249s haven't played a whole lot of Aquarion
252s because I'm still a simanti man and
254s probably will stay forever um but yeah
258s the bug is not letting you to change the
260s tribe
261s yes and also I think aquarium got a
264s whole lot more unique um in comparison
267s to what they were before I know aquarium
269s was added at as the first special tribe
272s but they didn't really feel special yeah
274s I mean they had trid denion and those
275s were cool but they had boats and all
278s that kind of stuff and now we have all
280s these unique units with unique abilities
283s and it really feels like aquarum has
285s become the special tribe it was always
287s meant to be yeah I agree with the with
290s those you know ships they were like kind
292s of awkward and now with the with um
297s puffers and uh Jellyfish sorry jish and
301s uh and sharks they are and also with the
304s the with the fact that they have the
307s fins they are like real fish people so I
310s I totally agree with
313s you um okay uh so some a few
317s organizational notes uh like I said uh
320s first we will um review the two aquarium
324s games uh from the aquarium week then
328s omaji comes in and um after we finish uh
334s as always there will be uh an
337s opportunity to to ask our guests uh some

444s immediately starts opening with
446s organization at this point why would he
448s do that well I I think because he
450s doesn't see any resources he can find
453s with Z Warrior so he's getting
456s organization just so that he can get um
459s sight of any farms that might be there
461s to help him find villages I don't think
463s he actually has
464s any um so we has to go a little bit
467s further oh but purple Aquarion starts
470s out right with a ruin next to their
471s Capital that's pretty
473s strong wait um let me quickly go damn it
477s yeah yeah well we'll see it when we get
480s back to purple because with the Aquarian
483s if I'm not mistaken it's they always
486s spawn with two fruits
488s right yes I believe Aquarian always
491s spawns with two fruits yeah here it we
494s see AO going for the ruin before he goes
496s to the Village um because well a rune
500s can be really really Val valuable at the
502s start and the second village is not as
505s important right away so I think both
507s players are doing really nice opening
510s at the moment you guys any more comments
513s on
514s that um I would like to point out that
517s in my opinion purple has a way better
519s start here at least from what I can see
521s about the resource distribution and he
524s already sees a second village with the
525s exact same resources plus he has the
527s Rune so uh right when I first saw this
530s game I thought oh wow how is the other
532s one going to uh turn that around Let's
536s uh quickly turn off the share truck we
538s can turn it back on later in the game
540s but yeah it's true purple does have a
543s more dense spawn with everything
544s together there however purple only has
547s two Villages at the moment and pink is
549s about to get their dirt so we might see
551s something happening there ah no there's
554s a the third one for purpal as
560s well and we see pink here picking up
563s fishing as well so they're really going
566s for early economy with boat fishing and
568s organization
571s and will they get a ruin no an Explorer
574s yeah they get an
575s Explorer both choice I honestly would
578s have uh gotten a a workshop right here
582s especially with the Aquarion economy
584s which is known for being the strongest
586s that's yeah I I can see that as well
588s especially he have this small village
591s here in the South he could have made
592s made a workshop there and got the
594s Explorer later because I think as
596s Aquarian you do still want to have a few
598s explorers to get your uh your amphibians
600s out quickly to catch those far away
602s Villages before the opponent does
605s so see um I love the addition of Aqua
610s Farms something non-tactical I wanted to
613s point out right here I absolutely love
616s the fact they added those back they are
619s indeed really really nice for aquarium
621s and they give so much um they give so
623s much population if you can get a good
625s Naval
627s Village so at the moment I think B is
629s putting on some pressure but purple is
632s starting to uh fight back let's go back
635s turn a Shar [ __ ] back off again so that
639s we have a a bit of a view of what they
641s can actually see because purple here
643s still does not know anything about um
646s doesn't have any vision of the pink
650s cities they go from early riding and
654s waterways and pink also joins with water
656s uh with writing

663s so we see some uh well some expanding
665s some early combat and back and
668s forth which pink putting up a lot of
671s pressure but purple purple does have
674s that veteran swordsman which is a really
678s really strong um unit this early in the
680s game and they also get their first
681s explorer mhm quite similar um situations
686s so um the purple has has one Village in
691s the in the North and the other uh Pink
694s player has one in the in the west so
697s very far from exactly not as close but
701s would you look at this bad luck by
704s purple they just missed um the
708s lighthouse lighthouse in the corner yeah
710s I also saw that it's always pain when
712s the Explorer heads another Direction so
715s it will take a lot of effort uh to get
717s that one let's see if they can get there
720s yeah and the veteran swordsman of course
722s enters the fight and here we see the
725s bounce that's of course that's a really
726s good um tactic to do with Aquarian where
729s they basically use their amphibian to
731s attack and then bounce away towards
734s villages to do both combat and
736s exploration all at the same
738s time so we're seeing some quick
740s expansion and yes they find found their
743s first light
746s house we have 10 star now on this side
749s and on the other side as well both sides
752s are both players are sitting equally on
753s economy by the way something interesting
756s to point out I find it always
757s interesting how similar those games go
760s at a pro level and I mean yeah there's
764s some back and forth right here but
765s overall it's a pretty balanced game
767s still I would say yeah both sides
770s definitely are still in it look at the
772s economy I think pink has fishing
774s organization and
776s riding I think purple has something
778s similar they had I think
781s organization uh riding and water RS if
784s I'm not mistaken we'll check when we get
786s back to them so it looks like pink is
788s also going to explore the ruin in the
791s back what did purple have yeah waterways
794s riding and organization so same thing
797s actually same thing basically two
799s economical tchs they riding and they're
801s already Jing it

804s out purple also getting quite close to
806s the village in the nors
810s and to the ruin over here so they're
812s about to get some nice uh B but oh pink
816s is trying to contest it they're trying
818s to hit the swordsman trying to get it
820s down um so that they can kill it before
823s it can actually capture the village
825s which could be a good play because if it
827s gets the village with full health
829s there's basically no stopping them
830s anymore
831s mhm however quite an expensive task to
835s perform I mean they've got it to half HP
837s and basically lost two riders for it
840s well they didn't really lose him right
842s because look here this Rider is one of
843s the riders that hit the swordsman and
845s now it's about to capture a village so
848s the rider is not lost it just hit the
850s swordsman and then went off to do
851s something
852s else nice
855s tactic oh andman is oh and here the
858s other one yeah ni nice bounce yeah so
862s both of them oh and we have the first
864s Super unit of the
866s game yes turn 11 with so much fighting
870s going on that's quite good for
872s Aquarian oh but um purple is also really
876s starting with dexs they have five decks
879s at the moment um just look at just look
882s at the amount of Aqua forms yeah it's
884s crazy I wanted to to mention that that
887s uh it's usually not not that uh not that
891s great with aqua FS but this this spawn
893s is is just
894s crazy yeah so I look forward to see how
897s many craps are going going to come out
899s of this one and they grab another
902s Explorer to find the ruin at the um
907s Lighthouse I can never wrap my head
909s around when Pros pick explorers and when
912s they go for workshops and I always have
914s the feeling that whatever I do is wrong
916s and for some
918s reason I find it fascinating to look at
921s these plays
922s and why did he go for an Explorer here
926s why does he want Vision on those uh back
928s villages in the left corner
931s or was it really just for the lighthouse
933s I think it was mainly to fight because
935s purple if we go back here if you look at
938s how how they are purple does not have
940s any Vision purple knows there's a lot of
941s amphibians in this corner here because
943s their s swordman got hit a few times so
947s they know something is going on but they
949s can't actually react to it they can't
950s fight it they can't send their own
952s amphibians in there because I just don't
954s see what is happening so I actually
956s agree that Explorer here is a really
958s good choice mhm yeah and also there was
961s a chance to to get this Western
963s Lighthouse because the Explorer usually
967s um yeah in those situations goes in a
969s straight line so uh two lighthouses that
972s saves you know it saves time yep exactly
976s so let's go back to purple here and see
980s what they're doing they're I think
982s they're going for their second Giants no
985s not
986s yet because they do still have oh yeah
988s there it is there there it is so two
991s craps outs with 16 Stars per turn they
995s deny went down exactly so the hitting
999s did spay off in the end although let's
1002s see for how long because they have a lot
1005s of low Health units here and purple I
1007s mean eventually it's going to pay
1011s off let's oh and they discover the
1013s second grab
1016s already that's always one of those oh my
1019s God going to panic
1020s moment yeah but not not with Meister
1023s Lampa because the the purple player is
1026s me Lampa and he's like so cool you know
1029s like there he's not losing his nerve
1032s anytime like I saw some crazy games when
1036s he was you know like uh about to lose
1039s and he turned it around so maybe a
1042s little break uh in the in our commenting
1045s there's a question um which tribe should
1048s I buy first
1052s what would you recommend well I would
1055s say um it depends on what you're looking
1057s for if you're looking for a strong tribe
1060s that's a bit different but not really uh
1063s something completely out of the world I
1065s would recommend you to buy the Kiku
1067s tribe because they are very strong from
1071s what I know and have a little different
1073s gamep play but aren't completely out of
1076s the world um if you're looking for a fun
1079s experience that complet that's
1080s completely different I would recommend
1082s you one of the special tribes and my
1086s personal favorite is simanti I would
1088s recommend that to you um wink wink tribe
1091s with a very unique play style and lots
1094s of
1095s uh good stats and it's just a fun
1099s experience to play Santi in my opinion
1102s uh ultimately it's up to you some people
1104s enjoy Polaris a lot some people enjoy
1106s Aquarian a lot and there's always
1107s someone for the luon so
1109s I guess it depends on who you ask your
1112s recommendation
1113s one well personally um I'm a really big
1116s fan of bothan and
1119s Aquarian I do think Alyan is a little
1121s bit more difficult to pick up at first
1124s they're they play quite similar to a
1126s regular tribe but there's um some more
1130s economical details that you have to keep
1132s in mind so I wouldn't recommend them to
1135s um a very new player so instead I would
1138s go with um well I say Aquarian Aquarian
1141s just got this huge facelift it's a very
1143s interesting
1144s tribe and other than that I also agree
1147s with maradon um that Kiku is a really
1150s good tribe for beginners because Kiku is
1152s like the tribe that specializes on um
1155s getting through the water quickly
1157s getting they quite versatile so both on
1159s land and uh and water they perform quite
1162s well I think yeah exactly they're
1165s they're also just a really really strong
1166s tribe but they're just a good tribe to
1168s learn how to um claim the oceans for
1171s yourself basically okay so there you go
1175s zazi thanks for the question okay let's
1178s continue so we we see here that's um
1182s think what's the name again that's Quay
1184s um got Defenders from a ruin before
1188s which was a little bit unfor unfortunate
1191s but Defenders are still quite all right
1194s against um an army of amphibians I mean
1198s you wouldn't run your right ERS into
1200s Defenders either right so the Defenders
1202s can still help to um the pressure of
1205s their of their backline M let's see what
1208s we're doing here oh and the crab is
1211s moving in to contest The Village because
1214s me Lampa has managed to kill all the
1218s other units that were were
1224s around purple should really hurry up in
1227s getting a super unit
1229s in my
1231s opinion not looking good for
1233s them oh and another Explorer here that's
1236s a b
1238s one there was still some fog to uncover
1242s so not bad but I'm a bit surprised by
1246s it yeah some players they're going to
1249s lose the city anyway some players take
1252s the explorers to to [ __ ] the uh the
1256s town that they will lose
1259s by the way we are seeing both players at
1261s 16 Stars per turn so again they're
1265s really really similar in their
1268s economy and I think purple at the moment
1270s has five cities pink is about to get
1273s their fifth
1276s one from
1278s purple oh well actually they're about to
1281s get their sixth one in that case uh but
1283s I'm not really sure they will get their
1285s six one however oh what a nice time push
1290s what a nice giant push that's awesome
1293s the crab gets completely removed all the
1295s units that came to support it get killed
1297s off and purple says Noe we're not doing
1305s this still [ __ ] has another grab over
1308s here and they keep the pressure on um
1311s keep trying to make B's life difficult
1314s and just completely um kill them with
1317s their early unit unit advantage
1322s so game oh
1325s my yet another giant push from
1329s purple yes indeed
1333s wow so I don't think pink is too happy
1336s at the moment both all of purple has the
1339s Super unit Advantage if I'm not mistaken
1342s um yeah actually they have four crabs at
1345s the moment so they they're really used
1348s take a look at that all those equa forms
1350s all of them got um got
1353s used so they're yeah they're really
1355s pushing at the
1361s moment still think um keeps trying keeps
1365s going forward and pink got their first
1366s shark here so sharks um for those who
1370s don't yet know it and sharks deal three
1373s damage and opponents don't deal any
1376s retaliation damage to sharks because
1378s they have the surprise
1380s that a shark is able to a crap without
1383s taking any Dage
1385s themselves so we might see some AC from
1387s the uh from
1388s this but still sharks are quite
1391s vulnerable because of the their 10
1394s Health
1395s points that's also true it's quite easy
1398s to kill
1399s them so we see here this the shark took
1403s no damage the assortment took 13
1405s retaliation
1406s damage those scraps really really strong
1409s um difficult to kill they're just so
1413s defensive but we also see our first
1414s jelly coming
1417s out really nice unit really really uni
1420s unique as
1421s well yeah and what just said the shark
1425s here got instantly deleted by the grab
1428s even though did not do any retaliation
1431s damage it still got the shark in the

1435s end but yeah at the moment what did you
1438s guys say about the position of uh of
1441s both players how how are they looking so
1445s it's five against 5 C's right uh
1450s yeah how exactly are we looking uh
1453s economy
1455s wise um so I think purple was slightly
1459s ahead uh let me
1464s quickly okay so purple has a tiny
1466s economy advantage
1468s yeah
1470s whereas sorry go ahead uh to to give a
1475s shot at it uh I would say both players
1477s are still standing pretty equal uh
1480s purple has a slight advantage in uh the
1482s amount of super units they have and a
1484s slight advantage in in economy however I
1487s think ping is preparing for a big attack
1490s and they almost got their full City
1492s territory in the middle City crammed
1494s with units and are on the move forward I
1498s would say how this game will go is that
1501s either pink will have an attack and will
1503s crush uh purple or purple manages to get
1507s to grab hold of the game and will win on
1509s the long
1510s term yeah so so purple is definitely
1513s lacking the support units so obviously
1515s crabs are are nice but and you know
1518s tanky but without uh without the support
1521s units they are not so
1524s great well not not so great I mean the
1527s opponent needs to have means to take
1529s them down right and as we've already
1531s seen Riders and warriors they will
1534s struggle killing a crap I think you
1536s would need 12 13 warriors to kill a
1539s single crap so the CRA with with the
1542s help of
1543s sharks when they don't get the
1545s retaliation it's crabs are not that
1548s scary anymore so it's it's I think it's
1551s it's a good strategy to to actually go
1553s uh go sharks against against crabs
1559s yeah let let's see how it
1560s goes the jellyfish moves in as well yeah
1564s I thought it was a crab and it's a jelly
1566s okay
1572s mhm yeah the well both sharks are
1576s already down okay and we are going
1579s Trident I see oh yeah inde D we are oh
1584s yes let's see those because those really
1586s change as well
1587s right now that we first see the new
1590s tridion what are you guys' opinions on
1592s them they have undergone some changes
1595s that may seem slight but are quite
1597s significant in my opinion so what do you
1599s say do you prefer the old ones or the
1602s new ones do you think they're
1603s overpowered or balanced because I've
1605s seen there's a lot of discussion going
1607s on about that in the community and I
1611s wanted to ask you
1612s guys
1614s one so my personal take on Traditions um
1618s the old ones were definitely overpowered
1621s they were way too good for how much they
1623s cost um but because the old Aquarian
1625s didn't have too much going for them they
1628s needed a strong unit to be able to come
1629s back um with the curent fenan I think
1632s they're actually really really fair for
1634s their cost like I I would pay eight
1636s stars for tradtion every single day and
1639s I don't think it is um the tradtions are
1641s too strong either for that cost however
1644s um it is sometimes a bit difficult to
1646s get to the tans because you need to buy
1649s two whole tchs so I think tensions are
1653s really good units really fair units I'm
1656s not entirely sure about their position
1657s in teory at the moment however I like
1660s them and I really like playing with them
1662s as
1663s well uh yeah so um I I did not like them
1669s when uh I think in the beta where they
1672s were they had
1674s three um three attack because then it
1678s was it was very difficult to um to catch
1682s up with them and fight them uh because
1684s they were obviously you know killing all
1686s those uh weaker units like uh Warriors
1690s or uh or riders with with one shot so
1694s with 2.5 I think they are quite balanced
1698s and yeah and it's like uh it's kind of
1701s refreshing because with the with the
1702s Escape that they used to have um they
1705s were like it was it was crazy because
1708s overall they had uh
1712s um the the the range they had it was it
1715s was completely uh you know impossible to
1719s to fight them
1721s almost so with the with the persists uh
1725s they you need to have you know bigger
1727s numbers and uh and also support units
1730s for them to weaken the uh the your your
1734s enemies uh units uh and then the the
1738s triy are very useful because they they
1741s essentially sweep the uh the the field
1744s so yeah so it's it's it's it's a
1746s different different mechanics and and
1749s I'm actually uh happy that this was
1752s changed from from this escape to to
1755s persist um yeah I would agree with you
1757s on that they got a lot more tactical and
1759s a lot more fair mhm um a question from
1762s from a viewer so Dante is asking is the
1765s location where daggers spawn after the
1767s cloak hit it's deterministic apart from
1771s the defense bonus uh

1776s prioritization do you know anything
1778s about that I will say right away good
1781s question and I have absolutely no clue I
1784s honestly never thought about it and I
1786s also wouldn't really know why that
1788s matters a lot but I personally haven't
1790s recognized any pattern but let's see if
1792s one knows anything about that I think
1795s for all intents and purposes it is
1797s random if you have the same city and it
1799s will send cloaks to it a few times the
1801s daggers will be spawning in different
1803s locations of course as you already
1805s pointed out they will first prioritize
1808s the defense locations but once those are
1810s filled or among the defense locations
1813s you will see cloak SP dager spawning in
1815s different positions so yeah Al I would
1817s also say it's it's random and it also
1820s doesn't really matter if you don't have
1822s any bonuses cuz if you don't have
1824s climbing or uh archery it's like
1828s you know it's doesn't really matter
1830s where the the this the the dagger
1835s spawn they will be in range definitely
1838s to to attack on on the next uh next turn
1842s so but other than that it's it's quite
1845s Irrelevant for me where where they
1849s spawn but may maybe someone someone in
1851s the audience knows the the answer to the
1854s question so let's uh let's send it to to
1857s our viewers as
1860s well so are we ready to see the let's

1872s here he tensions other side guay guay I
1876s think yeah got the Sharks and the
1880s jellies so got a bit of um bit of all

1904s here trition basically 2.5 attack it's
1908s decent damage we didn't really see any

1916s sorry yeah mhm of course um but yeah we
1920s see one of the uses already that
1922s tensions can basically act a slightly
1925s faster slightly stronger archers who can
1928s be used to poke down
1930s crabs and the crabs don't really have a
1932s way to Counterattack

1969s to spend his economy uh away from the
1974s attacking and defending lines and have
1977s him constantly Panic about about two
1979s super units your
1981s Capital quite a play I've never seen
1983s that before
1985s honestly the they push towards the
1987s capital you mean
1988s exactly yeah I mean it's quite difficult
1991s to stop two crabs going for a capital
1994s and just ignoring everything in
1996s between um but I think well the crap is
2000s already down to 21
2002s HP so I think my is actually handling it
2005s quite
2007s well see well the crap here is also
2009s about to go down so both sides are
2011s starting to indeed kill the CBS
2015s mhm the tri denan gets to live
2021s sadly but pink is uh pulling backr the
2024s entire line because well Pig knows that
2027s the tridion here if it can get some good
2030s attacks going among the amphibians it
2032s can start killing more and more of them
2033s at the same time so yeah think is
2036s definitely afraid of um everything oh
2038s and this rep here went down as
2040s well so that kind of defeats um Pink's
2046s push on the capital here because now
2048s with only one CP he doesn't have any way
2050s of killing the jellyfish anymore Y and
2054s they they can also uh disband the the
2057s damag jellies and produce new ones so
2061s it's yeah it's it's impossible and I
2064s think yeah I think pink realizes it as
2068s well even though pink still has five
2070s cities and the economy 25 Stars per turn
2073s against 28 Stars per turn pink at this
2076s moment um feels like there's not really
2079s anything they can do to come back purple
2082s has too many many tradtions purple has a
2084s ranged Advantage um and so the push here
2087s will be quite inevitable could you show
2089s the show Pink's uh Tech Tree
2093s so so we could see how far yeah so they
2096s they don't did not even get spirit so
2100s yeah it was impossible for them to but
2103s maybe you know diplomacy yeah but with
2107s with those jer's there it would have
2109s been really hard to so sneak a cloak
2114s anywhere and the me lamp also did not uh
2118s get any border growth so it's no it's it
2122s wasn't a good idea yeah cloaks are not
2125s very good against fenians and jellyfish
2128s still I think it would be good if you
2130s could uh explain again why exactly pink
2133s resigns here because to the uneducated

2170s can't really do much anymore it's just
2171s going to get killed over a few turn by
2174s The trads Who are sitting
2176s here um so pink is about to lose their
2180s this super unit and this super unit well
2182s with the tensions attacking it from
2184s range the super unit can't really do
2187s much counter damage so just sitting
2188s there waiting to die then you could say
2191s like okay well but ping still has a big
2192s army yes ping does have a big army but
2196s if you look at them all of these are
2198s amphibians amphibians are really really
2200s good units but amphibians can't do very
2203s much against
2204s jellyfish and so we expect here that if
2208s the game will play out a little bit
2209s further purple will push up with
2212s combination of
2213s jellyfish and um crabs at the front um
2217s and with the tensions right behind that
2220s and so Pink Just sees they will not have
2223s any way of getting their amphibians to
2225s actually kill the fenians they will keep
2228s getting pushed back keep getting pushed
2229s back and back and back and they
2232s basically decided that's um a painful
2235s process I don't want to go through um
2237s it's clear to me that in four five six
2240s turns I will start losing this city this
2243s city and they decided to pull the pl
2247s right here here yeah I agree because
2249s with the it's really hard to fight
2251s jelles with the with amphibians because
2254s once they get in range of the dentals
2257s they get damage uh
2260s and they have to heal on the next uh
2263s turn otherwise they will be dead
2267s so what a game you really need Trident
2271s or I don't know

2403s week he um he tends to make a lot of

2408s of skilled players he puts in there and
2410s just like puts a ton of people on a very
2413s small map and says now fights please uh
2417s so yeah I play with this this guy very
2420s regularly interesting let's see that
2423s respects in his play style they're
2425s they're both really good players as well

2437s them oh and red does not find a

2445s um that's a bit annoying for them so

2480s find a village but finds a ruin that's

2622s can't really understand because uh after
2625s all what an Explorer wants you uh to do
2629s is uh gain Vision on your opponent right
2632s and here uh Pink aquarum basically has
2635s no vision on his opponent and he sees a
2637s single Warrior that stepped out of the
2639s fog and it's currently standing in a
2641s ruin there could be half an army back
2644s there why doesn't you just take an
2646s Explorer there and uh place it uh as
2649s risky as taking a
2652s workshop yeah I think either one could
2655s be good but remember we are on turn four
2658s right now so the chance that um red has
2661s an entire Army over here is quite low so
2665s I'm I'm not sure that he really needs
2668s immediately still I am a bit doubtful um
2671s I didn't really count his economy it
2672s might be that he just was planning for
2674s next turn like okay if I get a workshop
2676s now then it means next turn I can buy
2678s these things and that's more important
2680s than getting an
2681s Explorer because well good players they
2685s tend to really calculate out every
2687s single penny I think next turn he will
2690s have 10 Stars Then stars is exactly
2693s enough to get riding in a single
2695s amphibian so maybe that's why he got
2697s went for the workshop instead of the
2699s Explorer because he interesting
2702s idea uh could you could you go back a
2704s bit so uh where what was first like he
2708s upgraded the the
2710s um no the he already saw the the warrior
2713s yeah yeah so it's saw the warrior and
2716s then that point because it's so some um
2719s really good players when they see their
2723s opponents uh so that the direction where
2726s the opponent is coming from from so they
2729s then they kind of know where to go so
2731s like they are not uh guessing anymore so
2735s it's kind of reasonable to go Eco
2739s because you already know where your
2740s opponent is so it's like building up
2743s your uh your resources and then uh
2746s revealing the uh the land with uh with
2750s riders or with uh amphibians right yeah
2755s okay this might also be an answer
2760s so let's see what's in the ruin and what
2766s M lamp is going to do with his added
2769s economy so we got an Explorer over here
2771s in the ruin not bad although I think he
2774s was hoping for something that gave him a
2776s little bit more Tempo he does have

2827s that the aquarium Explorer actually has
2829s like the little mermaid fins and all the
2833s and this kind of aquatic look to it I
2836s just noticed it right now when you were
2839s showing the Explorer uh yeah they remade

2846s the daggers are also so um mermaids so
2850s daggers with the tails the every unit is
2854s is is a mermaid
2856s no I just love when game makers put so
2859s much attention into the little details
2862s always makes makes the game great for me
2865s mhm yeah they they really did a lot of

2871s Aquarian so what do we do with the
2874s swordsman I I think we're the point the
2877s the at the moment is just throw as many
2879s warriors at it as possible M see because
2881s we have eight Stars per turn here let's
2883s take a look at the other s side the
2885s other side only still has four stars per
2887s turn so although they got the theeran
2890s sourceman here they still need to get
2893s their second
2895s village but they putting on pressure
2897s bouncing back trying to reveal some more
2899s Villages without
2903s success but they do have amphibians up
2906s yeah just we see
2909s the the mermaid spam just keep making
2914s Warriors don't give the F sourcen any
2917s opportunity to um to conquer your your

2929s for going for hunting before we're going
2932s for organization that's something you
2934s don't see very often uman
2937s mhm most of the time they go for
2940s organization first because they don't
2941s have so many um they don't have so many

3030s amphibian as well pulls back the swords
3033s they did not want to mess with with the
3035s Archer but extra

3041s the ruins so M Lampa got uh got some

3047s Stars yeah they they're farhead Stars at
3051s the moment they with 24 Stars next turn
3054s they can buy a lot of things I don't
3056s know what they're planning yet but we'll
3059s see and they're still a head economy

3064s Kora so yeah here um I think we'll see
3068s the power of Aquarian archers just
3070s archers in general just start shooting
3073s the veteran swordsman veteran swordsman
3075s dies without being able to do much
3078s else they they can just melt tanky units

3226s with the update uh the S sorry not so
3231s windmills work with wood Aqua Farms as
3234s well and the aquarium has the ability to
3237s build buildings on on water so uh there
3241s is like a lot of crabs from might come
3245s from those Aqua forms as well yeah I
3248s already can identify a couple of good
3250s spots on the map right there ah and also
3253s the the fertiliz ability so uh aquarium
3258s count burn
3260s Forest uh but they can fertilize the the
3264s flooded land so
3267s farming which turns it into Aqua Farms
3270s yeah farming is is is a great tech for
3272s them to to build up their
3276s Eco all right let's see how this plays
3280s out yes so we start seeing our first
3282s Siege I think red still has chance I
3286s mean he can technically un Siege but
3288s already uh this game oh
3292s boy yeah what about the next Siege and
3295s Siege after that
3300s I mean he has the power of a quickly
3304s growing economy uh on his
3307s side but still I think it's going to be
3310s a very very tough game for red aquarium
3314s and he's going to be have to be very
3316s quick with expanding
3318s properly yeah and so because although
3321s pink is um behind in Stars per turn they
3325s did just pick up navigation as as well
3327s mhm and they have the army so yeah they
3331s they have let see here before they
3332s research navigation they had units on
3335s two different
3337s starfish um they're going to pop off
3339s again probably get some jellyfish mhm oh
3343s and finally get an
3346s Explorer going all the way in the back

3353s in case anyone is wondering what's going
3355s on right now uh in our replays we have
3358s the feature to show uh the shared fog of
3362s both players which means that we can see
3364s everything that any of the two players
3366s has discovered which is why the Explorer
3368s was going so weirdly right now and why
3371s you may have noticed some weird things
3373s going on in our repls those are not bugs
3376s that's just a feature with disabling the
3379s fog so they get MD Explorer actually
3382s reaches the lighthouse and actually gets
3385s them semicon

3394s doors door of both of those
3397s cities
3400s um yeah let's see what they're going to
3402s do here oh they
3404s uhy strategy or did they get
3407s it uh no I think they yeah they they got
3411s it from so with with the Stars because
3414s it's they got two two veterans or
3417s they bought it oh two veteran Swordsmen
3419s yeah these are good but not if they're
3421s this far in the back and not if the
3423s opponent already has an army of archers
3426s I wouldn't say these were good ruins
3428s it's like maybe this one this swordsman
3430s in the north Northeast uh kind of okay
3433s but the other one is so far away that
3437s but maybe time is really ticking for
3439s Aquarian oh boy yeah mhm but yeah red
3443s decides let's go for Shields let's just
3445s try to hold out
3448s keep back um other those units but yeah
3452s I mean Shields can hold out a little bit
3455s but against against
3457s archers I don't think it's going to be
3463s enough yeah trying to kill a few more
3467s units oh went all the way for a city
3470s wall well a defender on a city wall of
3473s course that is that is quite tanky yeah
3477s so that's very hard to break yeah there
3480s will be some troubles getting those down
3483s and maybe that will bu him the time he
3485s just needs to recover and uh eventually
3489s I mean red Aquarion is still the one
3493s with the better economy and has been for
3495s I think five turns now that has to make
3498s a difference
3500s eventually yeah oh ah he just doesn't
3503s have enough to kill this um amphibian
3510s that's yeah but the S will die anyway
3512s because there's an Archer and another
3514s amphibian in in range
3518s so yeah and I think looking at um the
3522s bar at the top it looks like red is
3524s about to give up they know they F sealed
3527s they try to survive a little bit longer
3530s but with archers behind a wall of
3533s jellyfish they realized there's nothing
3536s else I can yeah so let's maybe recap so
3539s what what could have uh red done
3543s differently
3544s too
3546s um not to lose or to win for me
3550s personally um uh I'm not the experti one
3555s here but I would say uh that red had a
3558s tough start from the beginning and he
3561s gave recovering from it a good shot but
3563s wasn't able to pull through quite quick
3567s enough uh to stop can can actually
3570s rewind to to the beginning so and uh uh
3575s take down the fog so we will see
3578s the so we could see
3584s the yeah so I think this really captures
3587s their starting positions red did give it
3590s a good shots but they were just so far
3593s behind you go to turn like four because
3596s I think that there is
3598s a or okay
3603s yeah and play it because I I I I think
3608s I I would disagree with something that
3612s red has
3616s done okay
3632s I mean red explored into the wrong
3634s direction twice that probably also
3636s influenced the game heavily yeah there
3639s was a good chance of Village being over
3641s here in the corner so this was really
3644s just bad bad luck that he didn't
3645s discover any think the one the one play
3649s that he might have done
3651s differently um is here going for the
3653s village instead of going for the ruin
3656s because took a long time for red to even
3659s get their second village if they had
3661s gone for the village instead they might
3663s would have gone the ru a little bit
3664s later which would have still given them
3667s um they would still have had claim to
3669s the the ruin and they would have been
3671s able to make second Warrior or second
3673s unit to go explore in this direction
3676s maybe find this ruin a little bit sooner
3678s so that might have had a difference um
3681s but I think overall pink was definitely
3684s favored um just with their their density
3686s of villages here and their early um the
3689s early economy so even though yeah and I
3691s would say that with the swordsman that
3694s they got from the first R I'm inan red I
3696s think that they should have kept it in
3698s this uh area
3700s of um me lamp second
3705s CD uh because they you know kind of took
3708s it to to this uh Middle
3711s Village and it's it it it it eventually
3715s died uh
3717s um yeah it eventually died but it would
3719s also have died if it stayed here because
3722s with this yeah but then then you have
3723s time for then there is time for other
3725s units to um to occupy the village so
3729s that they eventually got it as I
3732s see yeah so maybe it was it wasn't a
3734s mistake but I AG agree that the The
3737s Village distribution for uh for red
3740s wasn't wasn't that that
3744s great m
3749s so yeah yeah I don't know maybe
3752s maybe uh maybe getting more uh more
3756s military at some point uh I think
3759s uh
3761s going for those Aqua Farms even though
3764s that they are great and there are like
3765s so many of them uh wasn't wasn't the
3769s best choice at some points CU they I
3771s think that you have to you know like
3773s keep that balance between uh between
3776s your army and your economy I I get it
3779s that they were in a in a tough spot that
3782s uh they need to uh build their um build
3786s up their uh economy but I think that
3789s there was one turn that when they could
3791s have uh uh trained uh amphibians instead
3795s of getting those
3798s upgrades and then there was uh there
3801s could have been more space for for them
3803s to to fight back did they buy them they
3807s had them quite early
3809s actually
3811s mhm I no no it's just the replay being
3814s little bit bucked
3815s out uh when did they buy their aqua
3818s forms
3820s um yeah
3822s here so turn 10 here they bought their
3825s AA forms and at this point they couldn't
3827s actually um make any more units because
3829s if you look at it no no I mean after
3831s after they got the the those two uh Two
3835s Towns uh uh then there I think there was
3838s one one turn when yeah where me Luma
3842s Army was coming and they could have
3845s gotten
3846s more um more

3931s polium yes we have three games the mag
3934s highlights for I think I'm going to
3937s start with my favorite of um the mag
3941s highlights let me change the music a

3947s by uh with our players being uh force
3951s from um I believe Force at the moment is
3954s a house leader of Team Ronin on PO poly
3956s Champions and also just a
3959s veteran uh veteran poan player and as
3963s the
3963s opponent uh once again we see M lampy as
3968s a contestant here so yeah we see a lot
3971s of this guy but m l plays a lot of um a
3975s lot of polium games he plays them very
3977s well so he's a regular guest in the
3980s highlights

3984s go so let's go just a little bit further
3986s so that we see our
3989s resources so this is actually a really
3991s really interesting map we're playing
3993s archipelago here and we see that both of
3996s the capitals are connected by a very
3998s small strip of land and because both of
4000s them are omagi that means we could
4002s actually see some rider rider combats on
4005s archipelago which is a map that normally
4008s mostly sees water combats mhm that's and
4011s bridges definitely could you actually
4014s turn off the autofocus so the the map
4017s doesn't jump here and there okay
4021s mhm so uh we see I believe this m yeah M
4026s Lampe in Northeast starts off exploring
4029s toward the center immediately finds a
4032s village Force also goes towards the
4034s center also finds himself a village and
4037s both make a second
4039s Rider M lamp doesn't immediately get
4041s second village with other
4043s Rider but neither do Force so we're
4046s still going or rather
4050s equal m going straight for fishing
4054s instead of for um instead of going for
4057s fruits um what do you guys think about
4060s that well uh at this early stage of the
4064s game I wouldn't really say it matters a
4065s lot um for him because he could upgrade
4069s both cities with both I think it's just
4071s like a general uh Direction you want to
4073s take the game in right uh if you go for
4076s fishing you'll probably focus more on
4078s naal combat and if you go for
4079s organization you'll have access to uh
4082s Defenders and eventually even cloaks uh
4086s however I don't see cloaks working out
4089s as well on such a small and uh cramp map
4093s as archipelago as they probably would uh
4096s say on continents or Pia or any of the
4099s other map types mhm and we have a
4102s question from our viewer Paul uh can we
4105s see what yellow so why didn't they move
4108s to the center what was the their
4111s thinking of going more East discovering
4113s the
4114s village H so why did they go here and
4117s not here M um I guess they assumed
4121s there The Village either on this style
4124s because of the fruit here in the corner
4126s so they decided okay let's go here let's
4129s see let's go here if there's a village
4131s here or here we'll find it with the
4133s fruits if they went here well there
4136s could have still been a village on this
4137s tile or on this tile but not on this
4140s tile because if you zoom in closely and
4142s you look at this water tile here the
4145s water tile does not have a shoreline so
4147s there is no tile here where the village
4150s could be and I guess he assumed it was
4152s more likely for Village to be here than
4154s to be
4156s here and also on archipelago Maps the
4160s it's it's kind of a lottery right
4162s because the
4163s resources are um like sliced by the by
4168s water and uh it's not that obvious
4172s because on those uh more uh landbased
4178s Maps obviously you should go to you know
4181s for the center especially in uh uh on
4184s drylands uh right uh but on archipelago
4187s it's you have to be quite um you know
4192s like observant and see you know where
4195s the result ources are and be also Lucky
4198s in my
4199s opinion I see that Paul just commented
4202s again that um he meant a different Rider
4205s movement okay let's go back to turn
4208s zero um I think you mean and why did he
4211s go to this stle instead of to this stle
4213s mhm um we don't just see the
4216s resources um I think simply because this
4218s was a stle with the fruit so there were
4221s three different tiles that could be next
4223s to this fruit that had a village if he
4226s went here he didn't really have any
4228s resource indicators for a village on
4230s this style or at least not as clear as
4233s the one for foot here no uh he I mean I

4667s huge disadvantage for both players right

4676s moment the fighting is all happening

4680s tried to get it and if they would have
4683s invested any stars any economy into
4685s going for Naval they would not have been
4686s able to contest The Village they would
4688s have just set to the other one here have
4690s the village and Riders are a lot more um
4694s stars efficient than a naval units are
4696s in combat so I think they um they just
4700s decided to really fight it out try to
4702s get as strong hold here as possible
4704s because going for economy at the moment
4707s might just give up the game the

4796s afford a bridge to quit down here that
4798s is fair too he would need a bridge and a
4800s road though in order to get
4804s his I guess he decided it wasn't worth
4807s it yeah if he did that he would not be
4808s able to build any units at all this turn

4869s could have put on more pressure there so
4870s I think this Warrior here is actually

6323s because he wants to get to the water so
6325s soon which on a continent map makes

6337s going to cross the river and reveal paji
6341s so now yellow really knows how the game

6346s preparing for a fight meanwhile pink is
6349s just blissfully um saying to himself
6352s doesn't know anything about what's
6353s happening in the rest of the world and
6356s is I mean of course he's probably
6358s supposing what's happening right now
6360s because he has basically discovered half
6362s of the map and is probably aware that
6365s yellow might be lurking in the shadows
6368s somewhere and uh step out of the fog in
6370s the couple of next turns because that's
6373s basically always how it goes I think but
6376s yeah uh yellow Mai definitely has an
6379s advantage here with uh how much he sees
6382s and I think there is also basically no
6385s way that ping is going to take away
6387s Naval superiority from yellow if yellow
6391s decides to go full out on oceans and
6395s battleships and all that kind of
6397s stuff yeah because at the moment pink
6400s still doesn't have fishing yellow has
6402s two roughs in the water has two
6403s different ports so yellow definitely is
6406s ahead on the
6407s water H yellow goes for ruin goes for
6410s two Villages so yellow has two more nice
6413s turns lined
6416s up go for population and that means
6419s we're almost going for
6421s Giants um still yellow only has 11 Stars

6425s turn meanwhile pink is sitting here at
6428s the 14 Stars per
6430s turn they're going for more ruins for
6433s another City
6435s upgrades yeah pink is really um another
6438s upgrade so pink is really investing in
6440s their economy and really trying to get

6450s are so pink is a head in economy but

6540s doesn't really reveal much of uh yellow

6647s any use for the de at the moment it
6649s might be useful in the future but well
6651s they first need to develop their
6654s economy but they're going on the water
6657s exploring with Scouts and just general
6660s claiming a theas for
6664s themselves which is a questionable
6666s tactic after all I think because uh if
6668s you look at the way the map is
6670s structured I think a lot of the combat
6672s is going to be taking place across this
6675s uh River in the upper middle part and uh
6681s Pink probably has enough presence in the
6684s lower parts to be able to keep yellow's
6687s Navy away from getting involved there
6690s too heavily so uh yellow investing into
6693s Navy might actually uh turn out bad for
6696s them in the long
6698s run yeah I'm also wondering about that
6701s because like here you can see this here
6704s is a potential bridge this is a
6706s potential bridge this is a potential
6708s Bridge so uh Pink has a lot of ways to
6712s start roading the riders in here and
6714s actually make this a land battle instead
6715s of a sea
6716s Battle um the one thing about this river
6720s is that there's no real safe ORS F so
6724s every single to here where um pink would
6726s be able to build up a Navy yellow could
6729s just smack it with their Riders so it is
6733s definitely very interesting shape here
6735s because it will stop all the ships both
6737s being made here and coming from the
6740s outside um but I'm not sure in who it
6743s Advantage this one will

6806s yellow's Vision they pretty much see the

6869s effective uh yellow's strategy was to

6879s units and can plan uh their attacks and

6887s giant here which for pink arrived
6888s completely out of the blue and uh just
6891s because pink had
6893s has no vision and has no way to gain
6895s Vision on the water which is where a lot
6897s of yellow's units are so maybe yellow
6900s might win this by uh surprise attacking
6903s pink from the water from the left where
6905s he might not expect
6907s it let's see how it goes because yeah
6910s pink yellow is now also getting the city
6912s Advantage they have one more city than
6914s um pink and there's no more cities left
6917s so this yellow can actually start
6919s building up um decent
6921s economy and I think we're even going to
6923s see a second second giant here no not
6927s yet he doesn't have stars
6930s yet yeah but ping definitely has to get
6933s on water those you know get
6936s jugut or they have to push uh towards
6940s the center but he has to do
6943s something well the one thing he does as
6946s you said before um yellow got traed
6950s which gives him markets but sadly he
6952s doesn't have anywhere to put them pink
6956s does have markets and pink really really
6958s likes econ does have windmills and
6960s really likes economy so think goes for

7029s waiting on the shoreline and pink has
7032s built up this massive economy which they
7034s can hopefully use their advantage at
7037s some point so far they haven't really
7039s done that and uh for me personally I
7042s can't really say if um Ping's Giants
7045s will withstand the pressure and whether
7048s ping can buy himself enough time so that
7050s his economy Advantage will kick in uh
7053s but right now to me it just looks like
7054s pink is going to get overrun eventually
7057s with all those rafts waiting to be
7059s upgraded to rammers or Scouts um yeah I
7063s think there is quite the battle at the
7065s Horizon um but let's see how it goes I
7067s would say what about you yeah I'm Al I
7070s also think that's at this point it be
7072s will become quite difficult for pink to
7075s um get over the naal advantage that
7077s yellow has I think Pink's biggest chance
7079s now is um to use Bridges and to um go
7084s from this side try to make it a land

7091s able to um get too many too much

7523s Giants protecting so Knights here might
7525s actually be able to turn the ties no I I
7528s would build trees and then the knights

7542s saved from last turn now yellow has 53

8120s Giant on turn eight quite good as a
8123s magi going for a monument and if you
8126s look here this city I think is ready to

8402s on so much pressure like there's a giant
8404s next to the middle City giant next to
8406s this city there's a federan sourceman of
8408s this city that he has to deal with so I
8411s think he's basically trying to take away
8413s attention towards the city here in the
8415s southwest to make sure that the other
8417s two cities are open and that he can
8419s steal one of those
8422s and he goes for
8425s economy with 21 Stars per turn against
8430s only 15 stars turn for the opponent
8432s because there's one under siege so
8434s yellow is actually quite ahead on the
8437s economy Army wise deal does look
8440s slightly ahead
8443s though but they have only one giant so
8446s that's they do have only one Giants
8451s just look at all those units and yeah as
8454s you said before a KN here would have so
8457s much fun yeah I wonder why they aren't
8460s going for Knights right now I would uh
8463s probably research free spirit right now
8467s the thing is KN Stars 33 Stars quite
8471s expensive um the first Knight will cost
8473s about a star on top of that so that
8475s means 41 Stars before they have a KN so
8478s that would mean that yellow would have
8480s to give up do full turns of unit
8482s production just for a single night and
8485s yeah I'm not saying they should get it
8486s like right now but uh I would start
8488s preparing for nights because also the
8490s opponent isn't expecting it and maybe I
8494s drain my unit Supply a bit but I'll get
8496s a lot in return if you look at um Teal's
8500s Vision I think deal can kind of expect
8502s all the units
8503s yellow yeah you can't surprise them so
8506s obviously you know uh it would have okay
8508s that's a valid point I I forgot looking
8511s at shared fog right now it would have
8514s been hard to to space out the the units
8517s but yeah mhm yeah no no no surprise with
8522s the number of units here if you spend
8524s two full turns not making anything you
8526s will just get completely overrun so I
8528s think both players are actually thinking
8529s about getting KN is just really not
8532s achievable at this point in the
8535s game so we'll see where they are

8544s probably because he saw how many units
8546s there were here and with this many units
8548s it takes 10 units 10 Warriors to kill a
8551s Giants this here is enough to kill a
8554s Giants so he probably thought nope let's

8559s and instead he's putting more pressure
8561s towards the South trying to zone out all
8563s the units in the
8566s Northeast getting more resources
8572s yeah just putting on pressure but not um
8576s not committing
8583s anything just another Giant

8592s yellow he's hoping to he was hoping the
8597s this Rider died to get this lighthouse

8602s oh so uh deal finally actually starts um

8614s potential so let's look at their Stars
8616s per turn at the end of this turn and see
8618s where they actually get they start

8621s Giants like it's just one unit after the

8625s dying but as I said 10 units 10 Warriors
8630s or Riders can kill a giant and deal has
8633s more than enough units to get that on so
8635s the giant that was sitting here just
8637s gets completely obliterated by all the
8639s units and well steal doesn't really care
8641s because steal has so many spare units
8645s left wow brutal yeah yellow doesn't
8649s really have um is not really in a
8651s position to capitalize on it they don't
8653s have units around here to push in and
8656s take advantage so really nice play by
8658s Teal here just seeing the Giants as
8662s um as being weak as being alone and
8665s bouncing on
8667s it in the meantime teal has 26 Stars per
8672s turn yellow only 24 so teal is actually
8674s pulling ah heads in the economy
8681s G yeah and they are going on on the
8684s offensive in the in the north
8688s so they are doing a little bit of a push
8691s with The Swordsman
8693s mhm and more so in the front I think was
8697s it 26 as well yeah yeah both sides have
8701s have equal eony at the
8704s moment but de is going for more of
8708s course yeah I think in at some point
8711s Knights will be necessary in this game
8713s because otherwise it's I don't see any
8716s side uh you know making like a real push
8718s because you have to get rid of
8721s many units at
8725s uh at the same
8728s time look here um yellow does still have
8731s um actually the number of giants is
8733s equal yellow is really using their
8735s Giants to um hold back the army with the
8738s way these chant are
8740s spaced two spaces in between units can't
8743s pass pass through this so they're
8745s basically protecting the entire back
8747s line just two of them
8752s Archer is going for more Giants more
8755s population
8756s growths now that he has his his
8758s windmills he's going to use them and
8759s he's going to try to build up a big army
8763s that's he can't just um keep throwing
8766s unit sets but here
8768s again just keep throwing units into it
8771s and the giant is going
8774s down that's also the thing right if all
8777s those units are sitting here in the
8778s backline and they don't have any valid
8780s targets there's not much point in
8782s keeping them around without doing
8784s anything better to use them to take down
8786s the Giants because what else are G to do
8793s yep the riders in the back they are
8797s safe and another Giant in the
8801s right yeah he decides to push back again
8805s so with how far we are at the moment
8807s what do you guys think about this game
8811s M it's a bit of you know like a back and
8813s forth but I like the the sides are on
8817s their places and like I I don't see any
8821s any any way for any of them to to make a
8825s real push like I said it's it has to be
8828s night probably uh
8831s to uh you know some unit that like is
8834s really threatening and might change the
8837s the balance uh yeah
8840s yeah I'm personally also not a huge fan
8843s of this game it's in my opinion it's
8845s super chaotic and uh a lot of uh just
8848s brood Force units slapping into each
8851s other um I find it interesting how the
8855s Giants uh control the game Dynamic right
8859s here and there is some sort of
8862s positional game play to this I think
8865s which I don't understand really um but
8869s uh I think this game is going to be
8871s turned around by some unit probably
8874s knights in the near future and I can't
8877s yet tell which side is going to be the
8879s one ending up on
8881s top me neither it's uh it's get could go
8885s either way and both players are really
8888s um putting in a lot of effort and just
8891s keeping the unit safe keeping making
8893s sure they don't give any grounds
8895s nobody's
8896s overextending um but yellow here at this
8899s point decides okay
8901s I'm actually behind in economy I have
8902s five cities my opponent has seven cities
8905s um so yellow decides to do something
8908s about it yellow goes for markets so
8910s because they are in a relativ safe
8912s position here okay um well as opposed to
8917s the player in the last game uh here
8919s yellow does actually have a big army to
8921s back it up so yellow made sure they were
8924s in a position where they are safe enough
8926s to be able to afford to um invest in
8929s economy
8931s yeah with these two markets here both
8934s really um do really big ones as well I
8936s think this one is a four stars Market
8939s this one is a Seven Stars market so
8941s together these two buildings give 11
8943s Stars that's a quite big jump in income
8947s and I think there he can build some more
8948s markets as well in the future and comp
8951s the last game where uh the pink player
8954s was just pushing his economy way too far
8958s I think here the markets actually are
8960s what Saves the Day for yellow Mii at
8963s least for now because here they make
8965s sense City
8967s disadvantage for which he has to compare
8970s I come up with

8977s smacking units smacking into
8979s Giants four yellow Giants are getting
8981s that's crazy I mean that's really what
8984s you had to expect from such a game

8989s yellow doesn't do that that much

8996s deal has more units yellow can only make
8998s five units a turn deal can make seven
9000s units a turn so it's easier for deal to
9004s build an army of um cheap units that
9007s they can throw away
9010s sure interesting here another H yeah
9013s he's going for a l m with border
9018s growth that's yeah even though he's he's
9020s keeping up his units in the meantime he
9022s is also building markets so he's um he's
9025s going for the long run yeah but this up
9028s in economy which is quite notable where
9031s judging by the fact he's down to
9034s cities yeah his economy is really really
9036s big at the moment but teal is starting
9039s to push like deal notices that yellow
9042s got a little bit slower in his unit
9046s production and uh deal is trying to take
9049s advantage of that
9051s yeah this Center and northern part they
9054s look quite vulnerable at the moment yeah
9057s and yellow also has a lot of low HP
9060s units around in the back which can't
9062s really do much but take up a lot of
9064s space in his cities um I don't know if
9068s he'll if you'll just heal that yeah okay
9070s he heals all of them right
9074s now that's so much pressure on here
9077s starting to get to the back line just
9079s trying to be be annoying trying to um to
9081s block
9084s things so even though deal is um quite
9087s be hard as stars they make up up for it
9090s just by spamming units so many units
9092s that uh yellow has to deal
9097s with and as you can see here he just
9100s keeps throwing in his units but it's not
9102s enough to take down the Giants because
9104s he he just doesn't have anything else
9107s any more units he can throw in there
9110s he does go for uh more economy well
9113s that's the thing right at the moment
9115s with um with his markets he has so much
9118s economy that he can actually afford to
9120s build units in all cities without
9122s problems while also going for more TX
9125s mhm while also improving going for more
9128s Giants going for Border growths TX are
9131s spectacularly cheap for uh yellow Mari

9135s now due to the fact he only has five
9139s cities but manages to get up a
9141s staggering 46 economy from that he's
9145s able to research uh at least three tier
9148s two TXS at the in one turn and still
9150s train some units uh which is something
9152s to keep our eye on I think for the next
9154s couple
9156s turns yeah I think that's going to be
9158s yellow's only real oh actually see feel
9161s here but green grabs Knights
9165s first green had from previous turn he
9168s had saved 21 Stars
9171s brings them into the next
9173s turn and yeah he goes um all in and
9177s makes a single Knight and a warrior on
9180s this
9181s turn yeah de really decided to
9185s commit but yellow doesn't have any
9187s Knights yet to punish him so de can
9190s still keep putting on the
9195s pressure with chants over here in the
9197s middle as well
9204s a siege for now that's that's
9205s interesting could you go back a bit uh
9208s of course two teals uh a
9212s turn 19
9215s yeah um yeah and
9222s play mhm yeah and could you play it
9231s yeah that's interesting that he did not
9232s Siege this Northern City because yeah he
9236s had what deal does not have climbing oh
9239s doesn't have climbing okay and deal went
9241s all in and buying um yeah the KN yeah I
9244s I did not pay attention I thought he he
9246s had climbing already don't worry I ran
9249s into the same I I got the same
9251s impression the first time I watched this
9253s thing like wait why is he not doing that

9257s m still now I'm wondering uh why didn't
9261s yellow use the Stars he had in this turn
9264s to invest into Knights I mean he sees
9268s the barrage of uh enemy uh units that is
9273s coming and they're
9274s mostly uh low cost units so uh I think
9278s yeah there's a continuous night chain
9280s through most of uh purpl not purples
9284s imoc color units um but uh he couldn't
9288s spread them out uh enough I think to
9291s disable that entirely so I think just
9293s training a knight maybe even the city in
9295s the back left would have been enough
9296s this turn to end the offense right over
9300s here um yeah I'm not sure because a
9303s knight here would not have allowed him
9305s to um to stop the attack on the city
9308s here I think actually I'm not sure
9310s swordman will either well at least it's
9313s a huge threat to the entire uh amount of
9316s units stationed in the South and the
9319s middle so because they probably had some
9322s reason for it yeah at this point yellow
9326s is pretty much overwhelmed with with
9328s those you know Riders and warriors we
9331s don't know how much time they had at
9332s this point although I think they they're
9334s probably playing playing fast enough
9336s well let's see it's indeed at this point
9340s getting Knights would definitely have
9341s been um been a good
9345s choice but I but I do think that um I
9348s also really like yellow's play here

9524s game y saw his City saw a city that
9527s needed seven more population and decided

9533s problem so he researched all those
9537s sticks destroyed um some of his
9540s population so now he even less
9541s population left and then he starts this
9543s baning units because it doesn't have
9546s enough stars to pull it off so he starts
9548s disbanding units disbands the 13 Health
9551s giant um disbands some Riders here in

9554s back and then starts building up his
9556s economy again get so wild and then puts
9561s the windmill that used to be over here
9562s puts it over here and just barely gets
9568s right up to the point that he has enough
9571s economy to get a giant push done so this
9573s I wish we could see the time controls on
9575s these plays how many how much time they
9577s had left those would have been even more
9580s fascinating I think but wow what a play
9582s thank you for pointing out and
9584s explaining that yeah yeah like I the
9586s moment I saw this play in the replay
9588s it's like wow this guy really just

9737s most he can spend is uh 40 Stars which
9740s would give him five nights so he has he
9745s always has at least 23 Stars he has to
9747s spend on other things it's probably
9749s going to go into some economy or into um
9754s so sorry into some Dex or into things
9757s into economy to make Giants to help him
9760s defend yeah he has a lot of stars but he
9765s might actually have too like stars that
9768s he can't really use anymore because he
9769s do of cities to use them

9920s them it just goes to show Giants are not
