I know its been said, but I think it might be the single best addition to the game I can think of (or map options, which are coming. Or matchmaking/friend-making for multiplayer). There are so many times I would have loved to be able to chat to opponents but I cant. Currently being reminded of this in a game im playing where being able to send a message (even if my units could make some simple emoji-like gesture) would be soooo helpful and make things more fun.
