83s on turn nine here we see Viking the cat
86s has moved onto this Village he could
88s upgrade it with a workshop or an
90s Explorer but he doesn't so he waits and
94s he doesn't upgrade this city until turn
97s 11. and at that point he gets sailing so
101s with sailing and a port right he gets
104s that Tech now he gets an Explorer and he
107s waited until he got that water
110s technology to get the Explorer because
112s he wanted Vision on his opponent on the
114s other side of the water without that
116s Tech the Explorer would have bounced
118s back into his own territory and he it
120s would not have been as helpful green
122s moves these Riders up to attack the
125s battleship so having this Battleship
127s right on the shoreline allows these
130s Riders which are cheaper units so
132s attacking with the cheaper units is a
134s better damage trade to attack that
137s battle ship remember all of this is in
139s the fog that Shoreline green can use
141s these ship in the fog to attack and not
145s take any retaliation damage which
147s softens up that ship and then green can
149s use the rider to kill it the other thing
152s that's smart over here so yellow sieges
155s with the giant but that City can see on
159s Green's point of view that city has
161s three population needs only two more to
164s get their own giant there but so watch
166s what yellow does yellow sieges with the
168s Giant and then moves a ship onto this
171s spot preventing Green from building a
174s port and getting those two population
176s that they would need to pop a giant in
179s this the key moment one of the key
181s moments is when yellow gets an Explorer
185s in this Western City the Explorer has
188s only one way to go because of the water
190s and it hugs the edge of the map and
192s reveals this entire Western quadrant in
195s yellow sees the that this orange writer
199s is sneaking along and so what yellow
201s does which is really great yellow build
203s some neutral road to advance their
206s writer and try to match this Village
209s before orange and the thing is with
211s orange they still have all this fog here
213s they cannot see that the yellow writer
216s is coming up but yellow can see and what
219s happens is orange moves on to that
222s Village orange moves forward and then
225s yellow swoops in and takes it turn 16 so
229s we see that Alex in Orange has a really
233s nice night chain here night chain and
236s sets up a hit another hit and then one
239s more and then look at this beautiful
240s night chain and then able to leave the
242s night there with a Siege the other nice
244s move is Alex gets an Explorer here the
248s Explorer moves into yellow's capital and
252s all of those cities and this sets up
254s some very nice night chains later in the
258s game because now orange Alex can see
260s this whole section and it allows them to
263s move their knights in to set up some
265s very nice night chains and win the game
267s this game only lasts until Turn 6 when
270s magic in yellow sieges yellow puts down
272s a road attacks with the 10 HP Rider and
275s bounces and moves next to the mountain
277s moving there is key because it blocks
281s the two pink Riders from reaching the
283s city to unsiege and after that pink
286s resigns
291s so this game doesn't last long you'll
294s see
295s bkn uh here is crucial they get an
299s Explorer in this city which very nicely
304s clears out the fog and shows shows BK
308s this capital city so they have a lovely
312s line into this empty City and then what
315s happens is later on turn six BK can
318s still see this Capital they get roads
321s which allows them to hit the warrior
325s bounce into the capital which was open
327s and Siege and there's no way that Senor
331s can unsiege that City this was a really
334s interesting setup on turn 12 so yellow
338s has this swordsman here and is getting
341s ready to Siege take this Village yellow
344s moves the Riders up and then what's
346s really interesting is yellow builds a
348s road to put that veteran swordsman in a
350s boat and then the next turn when yellow
353s is getting ready to Siege yellow attacks
356s with the rider but then yellow knows
359s they can't keep it uh leaving that Rider
362s so they move the rider out and put the
364s veteran swordsman in that City so what
367s happens next is really interesting
368s because yellow's got to think oh yeah I
370s got this city I get to keep it but then
372s Watch What Happens green builds a
375s monument gets some population now watch
379s carefully this is going to be a fun
381s magic trick green positions there riders
384s with a bounce gets more population gets
388s a giant and poof
390s that is what we call a Houdini folks so
394s this is an interesting point in the game
396s on turn four Alex in green can see
400s yellow's borders so Alex knows that the
403s opponent is up here Alex uses an
405s Explorer on that Northern City to clear
409s out the fog and get the lay of the land
411s this allows Alex to see there is an Open
414s undefended City so Alex bounces a rider
418s into the city which he couldn't have
420s seen that without getting that Explorer
422s first the Explorer was instrumental the
424s way that marinak responds is is good
427s interesting too so let's see this next
429s turn so the way marinak unsieges is with
432s roads so they get roads that allows this
435s Rider to reach the city under siege
438s attack and then they use this other four
442s hit point Rider to kill the two hit
443s point Rider and then bounce back into
445s safety Alex continues to prevent yellow
449s from take King that City so each time
453s yellow tries to get a unit onto that
456s City Alex attacks with the writers but
459s then retreats to safety
466s yellow is going to unseech but in a
469s smart way they build a road to attack
473s from the north this allows yellow to
476s attack escape and bounce into this empty
479s Northern City then they get another
481s Rider to unsiege move away to safety
484s build a warrior to keep that City safe
487s and there's no way that brown can
490s unseech this is a fun play on turn five
494s where yellow wants to get an Explorer
497s and he clears out the fog before getting
500s the upgrade and this makes sure that the
503s Explorer goes it'll go one Tile East and
506s then it'll head south so very smart to
509s clear out the we call that priming the
511s fog so that the Explorer goes the way
513s you want the other thing that was a nice
515s move from teal is here on turn seven
518s they get roads one two three upgrade get
522s the five stars back first and then use
525s those stars to to invest and upgrade the
529s city in the South so that's really
530s important get those five stars back and
532s then use it on turn 11 teal has this set
537s up with some delicious whales right
540s there uh whaling costs 16. they have the
544s stars but they have to expand the
545s borders first so they use a monument and
548s a fish to expand borders get the whaling
551s Tech scoop up those yummy whales for a
554s profit and the other thing that's nice
555s about this border expansion is it steals
558s some of the terrain from this Village up
562s here so yellow is poised to get that
564s Village but by expanding borders teal
567s takes away that Farm tile the fish tile
570s and also prevents them from making roads
572s so limits the access that yellow has
575s yellow decides to move the writer up in
579s attack and weaken this writer in the
582s city so yellow has an eight hit point
584s Rider there yellow could retreat but
586s instead they leave that writer there and
589s that is to be a noble sacrifice to
593s prevent these two brown writers from
596s coming in and taking that City because
598s if that yellow writer wasn't there as
600s you'll see brown attacks but can't do
603s much more than merely kill that one
605s writer keeps this city safe yellow has a
610s whole bunch of giants in in Naval units
613s here but yellow is careful to move in
616s and attack and Siege this city this city
620s only has two shallow tiles where they
623s could put a port but it's not enough
625s it's very unlikely that brown could get
629s a giant there so yellow chooses to
631s Target this city and move a giant in
633s because they're pretty sure that they
635s can keep that City and brown cannot
638s unsiege by popping their own Giant
