In the Aumux skin's description, it is stated that the mercenaries "desolate the land" in their greed. I also noticed how the terrain's color is close to Vengir's. Perhaps the Aumux caused Vengir to become a wasteland in the first place after taking all the resources and destroying the original environment?
We actually confirmed this month that Vengir land is a wasteland due to frequent volcanic activity.
Also, the Aumux were founded long after the Vengir were banished.
