I think it is already well propagated in this subreddit that the starting amount of stars of tribes should be the next variable in balancing. As nerfing terrain and techs are way too problematic.
Hence I propose another suggestion by the communit, Tribe specific mechanics. I think this have also been talked about a lot in the subreddit. So I would like to propose some of my Ideas.
1.) 2-3 stars per unit kill for Vengir
2.) +1 Range for Hoodrick Archers when they're in a Forest or Mountain tile.
3.) +1 star per turn for all captured villages by Luxidoor.
4.) +1 damage and Ignores defense bonuses for Xin-Xi Swordsmen if they strike first
5.) +1 movement for Oumaji Riders when they hit 50% or less HP
6.) Ai-mo loses the Mind bender unit and replaces it with a "Monk" which is also a 5 star unit that has 1 defense and the same attack as a Warrior. They lose their mind-bending ability for a stunning strike, which is triggered whenever they attack an enemy. This basically freezes the enemy that was attacked. (They still have their heal though.)
7.) +1 defense for Imperius Defenders when they're adjacent to another Defender.
8.) Quetzali can "Sacrifice" a unit to boost all units that are from the same city as the unit that was sacrificed. (The boost is the same as Cymanti)
I can't really think of anything for Bardur, Zebasi and Yaddak so help me. I really want to hear your thoughts on this.
