I've had this issue for over a year now, and I know a few people who have this problem as well. I cannot access any multiplayer functionality of this game (other that pass-and-play mode) while only having mobile data on. I get the same message as if I was offline every time I try this. However, if I connect to a hotspot from another device, the game works just fine.
From what I've seen, this concerns both IOS and Android users. That said, I've never heard of this issue outside of my friends circle. Is that a common issue? has Midjiwan issued a statement about this?
