[2021] What’s with AI swarming your territory with units?

Is it the AI sending unit where they’d normally go if you were fighting but just simply not attacking? It’s a bit annoying to have to maneuver around them while they’re getting crushed by our enemies. Any word on if they’re going to update the game with less suicidal allies?

ALSO, does anybody else end matches if you and your AI buddy are the only ones left standing? I can’t bare to destroy my brothers in arms.
