As it's Halloween month, I'd like to know something scary or shocking about the tribes we love so much.

Oh no, they do, you'd be thinking of Cymanti in that regard. Polarians choose to utilize their free will to serve the Gaami

The Cymanti aren't fully controlled/mindless, either.

The Polaris, as a whole, are zealously devoted to the Gaami. They may not be "mind controlled", but I'd say it's not too far from the truth.

Cymanti aren't fully conteolled? Care to elaborate?

Yes, the Ciru Bug meshes with their minds and inputs thoughts, but I wouldn't say that it fully controls them. The Cymanti still have some control of themselves, just with an additional voice in their heads that influences them.

After all, they still have a culture, and that wouldn't be possible if they were fully enslaved by the Ciru Bug.

I was curious, what was the culture and what was this tribe called before they became Cymantis?

But an enemy shaman does wack a facehugger on my people to control their brains, yeah?

Yes. Getting the Bug onto an unwilling participant isn't always easy. Some in the platoon might even die fighting back.

Still, once it's on, the thought of "I've got a bug on my face" isn't so bad. You're not too sure why you fought at all.....
