I was experiencing constant "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" BSOD crashes playing PUBG. The problem was the file BEDaisy.sys, part of the BattleEye anti-cheat software. Turns out Windows 11 24H2 has broken BattleEye games and is making PUBG unstable.

The solution is to either go back to Windows 11 23H2 or wait for Microsoft to fix their mess. You can use this tutorial if it has been more than 10 days since installing 24H2 (will require a clean installation of Windows): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VcFKgDQh9A&t=1s

Just figured some of you might want to know.

Edit: might only affect certain builds.

I've had no issues with this with 24H2. Though I have been running the beta build for a long time now. However, I have not seen any increase in reports about this either. Sometimes, BattlEye just... does it's thing lol.

My best advise for BattlEye issues, is to reinstall BattlEye itself.

  • Navigate to your games directory
  • TslGame -> Binaries -> Win64 -> BattlEye
  • Run Uninstall_BattlEye.bat
  • Restart PC
  • Start PUBG again
  • It should install BattlEye itself
  • Hope it doesn't do something stupid.

Hopefully this helps!

Yeah, I just tried uninstalling BattleEye and deleting the entire BattleEye folder, then get Steam to reaquire the files and then launched PUBG. Just crashed again with the same error

Here's another option I suggest to people with issues. However, it is the nuclear option and comes with 2 big caveats.

  1. You will lose all your settings so back them up and screenshot them for safe keepings
  2. I highly doubt this will help this specific issue, but it is a nuclear option to attempt

If you are happy to continue, it's basically a reinstall of PUBG - but properly. Not just via Steam! :)

  • Uninstall PUBG via Steam
  • Delete your PUBG folder from your Steam Library directory ( Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\
  • Delete these following directories:
    • C:\Users\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\TslGame
    • C:\Users\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\WELLBIA
    • C:\Program Files\Common Files\UNCHEATER
    • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Wellbia.com
    • (If you do not have these directories, that's fine!)
  • Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\PUBG
    • Run uninstaller.exe
    • When it's completed, delete that folder
  • Restart your machine fully
  • Reinstall PUBG via Steam
  • Run PUBG
  • Play some wonderful games hopefully maybe

Again, this is a nuclear option with no guarantee that this will help. However, it is still a good suggestion as a last resort.

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA is a very specific error, but with a huge range of reasons why it could be happening.

If you continue to have issues, I'd recommend dropping down some tech support subreddits and providing dump files and such. Or a full reinstall of Windows from scratch - but that, again, is the super last nuclear option!

Good luck <3
